advice

Yep - read the various posts on minimins!

Be focused and take each day at a time, especially in the first week.

Know that LL really works!

Good luck. xx

Take this week, and get your head wrapped right around what you are embarking on - you must be ready pshycologically to say goodbye to food for however long it takes to get you to your goal. REALLLLLLLY get to grips with it and be ready to say NO to any morsel that gets in your way.

Make no excuses - there is no reason on this diet that you will ever have to eat - and if you stick to the plan without any lapsing, you will get to your goal at a pace you have only ever dreamt of. Give in an lapse - and you will possibly ride the up and down ride straight down the road of frustration. There is no event or acitivity that you cannot continue with the diet on - make no excuses!

Come to this site often for support. Its incredible, and full of usefull information.

Be POSITIVE - believe in yourself, and always - ALWAYS keep your eye on the prize.

Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and to keep your tummy happy.

Embrace every part of the diet. Don't expect the packs to be a replacement for food - they are palatable nutrition - go into it right off the bat enjoying them and that will make life much easier.

You will get to your goal and change your life if you play by the rules. Its that simple.

GOOD LUCK!!! Get ready for a very exciting journey!!

xx

Apart from the lovely and sensible advice BL has given you - another is more practical! Gently cut down the amount of carbohydrate and sugar you are having - it will reduce the carb withdrawal effects when you do start the program and make the transition much easier.

Good luck! LL is well worth the effort and perseverance!

:D

Excellent advise from thin inside BL and Minerva - just one thing to add - enjoy your journey and good luck x

Yes, cutting down on carbs now will help you in the first week of the diet. Good one that. Be sure to have some paracetomol to hand in case you do get carb headaches.

Then you need to be ready for the long haul.... ;) That can become a much more mental challenge then physical. BUt its a great challenge. :)

I think BL has pretty much said everything haha!! just try and sit down and think about what you want from the diet aside from weight loss, that way theirs always more than one reason should you ever be tempted with a lapse, also drink lots of water and stick a picutre of you now and a picture of a item of clothing you would love to wear somewhere you will see everyday (mines my pc's background haha!!) that way your always motivated to your goal!
Good luck and enjoy your journey!

Be prepared to accept that your thoughts, feelings and attitudes towards food are skewed/wrong, and make good use of the group sessions to explore the reasons why and change your thinking patterns.

As BL said, there is NO reason at all to eat on this diet, and believe me if you do, it will make it 100000x harder to finish it!

Don't be afraid of photographs - take some yourself before you start, and take one every week, you'll be suprised at changes, they are much more visible in a photo than they are in the mirror.
