Alcohol ???

Hi All

I am currently on Day 16 and have been 100% on ss since day one!

But.... I have a dilemma I am going to the races (horse not dog!) next weekend and I can't get out of it as I organised it and plus I can't keep thinking up excuses not to socialise with my friends! My problem is though that I haven't told them that I am doing CD mainly because my best friend is a nutritional therapist/ dietician and although I love her to bits I just know she will not approve, I could probably get away without eating in front of them, I'll just say I'm not hungry or that I had a big lunch but how can I get round the not drinking aspect?!

And if I do have a few drinks is it going to throw me straight out of Ketosis? What alcoholic drinks are better then others if that is possible?

You will have to come out of ketosis first to drink as it is dangerous hun. I have a similar dilemma for a friends bday and not sure whether to go or not. If i could just drink and not eat I'd go but that's a big no no while in ketosis and still don't trust myself to get back on it after lol xx
 
Oh no that's a massive bummer!! Maybe I could 'be on antibiotics' for the weekend??!! Put it down to a tooth abscess of something I am pretty sure they are not going to start searching around in my mouth.... Lol

I have nearly lost a stone in just over 2 weeks and I meet up with two of my mates today, I haven't seen them since starting the CD and neither of them noticed so I am reluctant to spoil all my hard work so far for one night at the races!! (I need noticeable results fast!!! Lol)
 
Yeah I'm on week 5 now and people are just starting to notice..but I still don't feel like I want a day off just yet intact I'm gonna try and go through to my target without a single cheat day. I am a bit sick of turning things down but it will be worth it when the next time I do go on a night out Im a size 10 lol. Just say your on anti biotics or something if you don't feel that you want a day off the diet :) x

I feel your pain! I'm only in my first week and have a friends birthday night out on sat and everyone is going to wonder why I'm not drinking! I don't really want to drive I'd like to have a drink and celebrate my friends birthday! The first week is taking the Michael isn't it though! Lol x
