Congratulations...well done!!!!!
Oh i would love to lose 2lb next week to get my stone....trying hard!!!!

You won't believe it...my colleagues, that say they are on a diet, actually arranged a meal out at one of those fusion buffet style restaurants today...couldn't believe it especially as i mentioned 15 minutes prior that i have been sticking to plan 100% since 01.01 (with two exceptions but they were worth it) and i'm doing really well and feel sooo much better!
Then they asked when i would be free and i said NEVER...they probably think i'm a right miserable cow but why should i either ruin my diet or sit there with salad and water paying £18.00 for the pleasure when i can have a delicious meal at home with my family!
Do you think i was rude...they should have never done that in the first place!!! Soooo angry but also sooo proud of myself!!! My hubby told me how proud he is that i stood up for myself and resisted their attempt to sabotage my diet! Made me feel better!

oh my god!!!! how selfish of them all, especially the fact you had been telling them you were doing so well.
you know im really proud of you for refusing, when your eating your filling, healthy tasty meal think of them and laugh at the fact there getting fat, unhealthy and will most probably end up on the loo next morning from all junk ;)
in answer to your question nope i dont think thats rude i think thats brave of you to stand up and made a stance when your a skinny mini they'll be wishing they joined you.
im having a 100% day so far big breakfast of 2 sausage (2 syns) 2 bacon, beans, tomato and scrambled eggs, just had a orange and pear as im not hungry after that big start and then trying to think of a mince dish that doesnt inclue carbs as im trying the sp day again today. any ideas???
im going to make another batch of the ferrero rochers today and going to give the swiss roll a go, really craving chocolate at the minute so going to melt a freddo on one of the sections so it will be 5 and half per slice, and the others leave at half syn for cake.
what treats/snacks do you make??
hows your cough??

Thank you for your encouraging words, really appreciate it :)

Sorry i didn't get back to you earlier...i've got a full blown cold now...cough, blocked nose, headache and a temperature :-(
Still went to work though...i know it's naughty but i figured i might as well take the cold back to where it came from, lol
Nah, it's just really busy at work so couldn't really afford to be off...short day tomorrow so i'm sure i'll be alright then!

Sure you thought of something for dinner already...sorry about that!
Have you ever tried spaghetti squash? I would love to try it! That would be great for sp days with a pasta sauce...or courgette ribbons instead of pasta....that's one thing i really like about slimming world, it get's me to think outside the box and actually try something new...i might not like it but at least i've tried it!

As for treats...i have tried the half syn roulade...i quite liked that...and for half a syn for the lot it's alright to have a big piece, lol
I can't have any dairy with fat, so cream and cheese is off the menu for me so i tend to eat a lot of fat free yoghurt especially for dessert!
I'm more of a savoury person...i can leave chocolate but leaving crisps is really hard for me especially with a husband like mine!!!
My hubby is 10st wringing wet...he does martial arts 3x a week and rides his bike to work every day (think he'd prefer to have a second car, but money wise that's not an option) so he doesn't have to watch his calorie intake at all, if anything he needs to eat more! So i have to watch him every evening eating crisps, biscuits and chocolate bars! At the moment i cope well and if anything i'll have an alpen bar! A hot mug of milk helps me as well!
I'm sure as i get along i'll have to look for some treat inspiration but at the moment i'm doing fine!!

Oh no poor you, hope it's just a quick common cold and your rid soon :-( my bf's got it at the minute and font I know it!!!! It's weird though he's great with me if I'm ill and I'm fine with the kids been ill, but he's a nuisance honestly,
..the sound of my own name is annoying me!!!
..He sneezes so loud the house shakes
..he leaves used tissues at his side (urgh)
..he moans n moans n moans
..he's snappy with us 3 then wonders why we're in moods
..he wants personal assistants 24/7 (sleep what's that)
..he even asked me to PLUMP HIS PILLOWS!!!!!!!
anyway there's just a few reasons I'd rather me be ill than him lol
Haha love the fact you sent it back, wish I had a short day I'm on long till 9pm :-(
I'm Bsolutely STARVING (yes the capitals emphasise just how hungry I am) I've had my salad but it just didn't fill me, I've had 2 pints of water and still hungry but I'm bored so maybe that's playing a part.
I was on a late finish again yesterday (we're skint so doing extra long hours at minute) and I started at 8am so didn't have time to make anything with the mince so I txt bf to ask him to cook meatballs in a sauce and serve with loads of roast veg, got in and it looked delicious
I decided to do meatballs in a sauce over roasted veg as it would be syn free as I'd had all my syns in day, so got in and there it was served looking delicious before he said oh I've had to fry the meatballs in oil and the veg was done in oil...
Aaarrrggghhhh.
So I ended up with a bowl of crunchy bran and milk with strawberrys on.
I have tried the butternut squash chips and the courgette pasta and even made a lasagne without the pasta sheets using courgette instead, also cauliflower rice is a favourite in our house now, I love the little tweeks.
I've decided I LOVE FOOD I admit though I'm quite greedy as well, especially with crisps or cake or treats I no are syn's I want more :-(
Wow I'm jealous of your hubby, I wish I could eat as i much. Crisps as I want and not gain weight, I suppose the exercise is a godsend, but we'll done you I certainly couldn't sit and watch someone eat crisps without getting a couple of bags myself :)
I keep forgetting to take a photo of my meal before I've eaten it lol

..he leaves used tissues at his side (urgh)

My hubby does that...i don't get it...maybe to proof that they are really, really ill!

..he even asked me to PLUMP HIS PILLOWS!!!!!

That is soooo funny!!! Did you humour him and do it?

I have tried the butternut squash chips and the courgette pasta and even made a lasagne without the pasta sheets using courgette instead, also cauliflower rice is a favourite in our house now, I love the little tweeks

I've heard if cauliflower rice...is it just blitzed in a food processor? Do you cook it? Were the butternut squash chips nice? I'll try the courgette pasta ribbons soon, we eat heaps of pasta in our house!

Just made my shopping list for next week...well proud of myself and the shopping bill should be much less than usual (you can but hope, lol) ;-)

i ALWAYS write a list other wise its ohhh yeah i need that, oh and that, hhmmm could do with that etc
humour him???????? at first i laughed until he was still laid thwere ohhh i'm so ill, achooo, oh please. i didnt so much as plump them as rag them from under him and slam them back down in a kind fashion of course lol. aparently thats why i made his illness last longer because i jarred his neck
yeah tha butternut chips were nice i would only use them on an sp day though i wouldnt use them instead of chips cause i just love chips!! with the rice i grate it all (its very very messy and looks like theres loads but it doesnt end up as much) then in a bowl in microwave for 4 minutes, ive also done it fried rice so friend my onion, peas, mushrooms then added the rice for 4-5 minutes then cracked a egg in and mixed it and its like takeaway egg fried rice. its amazing how our minds convince us its rice, i did it first time and served it with chilli and my bf never noticed!!!
how you feeling now? i thought i was coming down with something but i had a good sleep and hopefully ive avoided it, fingers crossed.

ive been really good today as i cheated off plan last night so had a huge fruit salad for breakfast and cheese toastie and beans for dinner with a orange and then having fish, cauli, broccoli and carrots for tea. getting my award has spurred me on and gave me that kick up the bum so hopefully im on track for another weightloss.
how it looking for your stone award?

Will have to try the butternut squash chips and cauliflower rice...cold is much better, the lemsip max cough tablets are helping!
Oh fingers crossed you don't catch that stupid cold...such a nuisance!!!
As to the stone...think i'm well on track...tried a pair of trousers on that i haven't worn in ages and they fit comfortably :) :) :)
I've been really good food wise...have had 9.5 syns already today but the bacon sandwich was soooo worth the 6.5 syns and i had a cheeky alpen bar first thing this morning at 3 syns
But it's syn free chili tonight, so i'm not worried!
I've been giving myself my own rewards by copying the rewards stickers from minimins! I used to go to group but stopped last year because of buying a house and just life in general (put the 2st i lost back on!!!)Group never worked for me, i just paid £5 to get weighed and then left...so what i did this time round, i bought the new 2015 slimming world members pack off ebay and asked a friend to get me the 2015 food directory as she goes to a group...also minimins helps loads ;-)
Especially you...i've never had someone who's in the same situation as me, struggling with the same things, especially food, and having the same goal!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!

ahhh your welcome, i just welled up then reading that (im not normally a blubbering wreck honest) :wave_cry:
we're helping each other hun, i come on here and go straight to subscribed to see if youve checked in :)
ive stopped and started that many times if i was a car i'd have used a full tank just stopping and starting lol i'm trying to stay to group for ideas but its the constant people talking whilst consultants talking and the clapping each and every person thats boring... thats where i get my ideas from which i'll share with ya :D
we're hoping to move this year but really struggling our house went up for sale in july and had no interest, the estate agent is pants and we've dropped the price by 20grand!!!!!!!!
your doing great and right on track, well done you.
ive stuck to my guns with my bf today, ive gone and forgot AGAIN to get the meat out for tea so cant have what i'd meal planned, you know ive become so lapsidaisycal (ha thats my own spelling lol) since starting sw this time im constantly forgetting to get tea out. anyway back to what i was telling you, i got a txt saying shall we have a mcD's for tea seen as its a saturday treat night.... and i said no  im glad i have cause they dont fill you but uuummmmm chips.....

have you meal planned for next week? can i pinch some ideas pretty please?? x

My SW Donner Kebab Recipe I love this! We're having it again tonight! YUM! <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=164218"/> Donner Kebab Ingredients 500g 5% Beef Mince (or you could use lamb lean mince) 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme 1 small finely chopped onion (or you can use 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (or 2 teaspoon minced/crushed Garlic) 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Directions 1)Put all the herbs and spice required amounts into a small bowl. 2)Separate the mince into a large bowl sprinkle over the contents of herbs etc from the small bowl. 3)Chop the small onion finely and add to a food processor blitz well(if you don't have one just cut it as fine as you can) then add the meat mixture and blitz well again. 4)Get all the meat mixture out and form a loaf shape on to a plate and cover with foil and put in fridge until ready to cook. Best to leave it at least an hour or 2 so the spices and herbs can do their stuff! If you don't have a food processor... knead, mix, squish, mash and generally use the mixture as stress ball until everything smooth and has no air pockets. Preheat your oven to around 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4 When your ready to cook place the loaf on a wire rack on a baking tray to catch any fat. Cook for around 45-60 minutes turning over half way through. Once cooked remove from the oven place on a plate, cover with foil and leave for 10 minutes to stand. Then cut as finely as you can. I did mine with my electric knife and it did the trick great! Serve in a pitta..with chips...salad..coleslaw and homemade sauces. Recipes for my sauces Homemade Chilli Sauce (with a kick!) 1 Tin of Tomatoes 1 Onion 2 Cloves of Garlic 1 tsp Chilli Powder Good generous splash of Balsamic Vinegar Good shake of Tabasco Salt & Pepper Dry fry the Onion along with the crushed Garlic. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper, chilli powder, balsamic and tabasco. Cook until it begins to reduce add to food processor and blitz! Allow to cool and serve when needed! Mint Yoghurt Dressing Easy peasy! Fat Free Natural Yoghurt and add a few teaspoons of mint sauce and mix thoroughly! Helps tone down the kick from the chilli sauce! ;)Home Made Coleslaw Finely chopped Red & White Cabbage Onion and Carrot Mix with 1 part Lighter than Light Mayo to 2 Parts Fat Free Fromage Frais! Lovely! Salad Iceberg Lettuce, Red Cabbage, White Cabbage, Onion, Tomato and Cucumber ENJOY!!! x

ooohhhh some great ideas there...
have you ever managed to buy 5% lamb mince i cant get it anywhere and always waste syns on using 10% fat. going to try it using beef instead though :)
im intrigued by the german dish, what does it end up like a curry??
are you the cook of the house? i certsinly am, when me and my bf got together many moons ago he always cooked, i wasnt even allowed in the kitchen and now its complete roll reversal however i allow him into the kitchen even if i have to drag him in lol

ive just ordered a karcher window vac so im sooo excited to get my windows cleaned haha how sad is that, im thinking body magic, im definately starting the 30day exercise challenge today as ive been saying i'd do it since i started but i can never be bothered when i get in by the time ive eaten, but im thinking i could do it while my bath runs as its literally a couple of minutes.
thats my challenge today eekkk.
what other threads do you find useful on here? ive had a gander about but get bored :(

I don't like lamb, so my hubby isnot allowed any, other than from the chippy, lol Tbh i haven't had a look for it at all, sorry!

Yes, a bit but without the seasoning so you can taste the onions and mushrooms

Yes i'm the cook...my husband can't even cook a fried egg...frozen pizza is alright as long as i tell him when it's finished, lol...beans on toast i thonk he can make??? Not too sure, lol...when i had our son i had to stay in hospital for a week because if complications during the birth (it's all fine now) my hubby went round his granma's every evening for dinner after leaving the hospital, lol

I've got one of those window vacs...didn't think i needed one but we had it as i housewarming present...and it's one of the best things i have had!!!!
I usually have a look for current posts with few entries because after 100+ posts the original question/statement has disappeared, and i'm too lazy to read all of it, lol

The house we bought came with a very well established garden that's about 3 times the length of the house...i am really keen on growing our own veg (got 3 apple trees, one damson, one pear, one cherry and one plum tree) but i kind of don't know where to start! My parents like a low maintenance garden so i never had the chance to learn at home...will have to get reading...still have a lifetime to learn, i suppose ;-)
Inever made butternut squash soup...can you share the recipe, pretty please :-D

its gorgeous......
skin and cut up the butternut squash into chunks
fry an onion
add the butternut squash and a chopped up potato
fry for about 5 minutes
add 900ml of stock (i used half chicken/half veg)
add a sprinkle of mixed herbs, pinch of salt and papper and leave to simmer/boil for about 30minutes
it looks like theres hardly any liquid left but once blitzed up it nice and thick and creamy

i had it for my tea last night and having it for dinner and tea today i love it that much :)

wow i would love fruit trees but we just dont have the room where we are, they're on sale at aldi at the minute so i might buy a couple and put them in a huge pot ive got until we move.. do ya think that might work? will the roots sprea that much in a year?

i got a brill diary for xmas and in the front it tells you when to plant each fruit/veg and when to harvest them. im adament when we move im doing lots of veg even if it has to be in pots. i used to hate gardening and getting mucky but now i love it and seeing my work come out in fruit/veg

has your son remembered your taking him swimming today? how you feeling bout going (if you still are) x

Will most definitely try the bns soup...sounds delicious...i take soup for lunch most days and that will be a nice change!

My hubby's grandad has planted all his fruit trees in pots because he didn't want them to grow too big...they have lots of fruit on them every year...did take about three years for them to start producing fruit i think!

Yes we went swimming, just got back...went really well :-D
Couldn't swim any lengths as i had ds with me but i was moving the whole hour we were in the water....can feel it now, lol
We'll go again next week...trying to get ds to swim properly by the summer when we go on our holidays :)

HI :wavey:

Oh dear...let me know if there is anything i can help you with...i'm always here if you need a rant...you can always pm me if it's something you'd rather not put on your blog!!!! I think his pots are fairly big probably around 75cm diameter but don't take this as gospel as i'm not sure! 40 lengths!!!!!! Wow, that's 2km!!!! You are doing sooo well....i couldn't do that...think my back would just cease up...clearly you are sooooooooooooooo much fitter than me! Really gotta work on this ;-) My son loved going swimming...i promised him we'd go again next week...my hubby said he might come too...he can't swim but there shouldn't be a problem in the shallow end, lol and then i will actually get to swim properly! Really enjoyed it today...i love swimming but i am the sort of person that needs a "reason" to go and me wanting to go is just not reason enough :-( silly really!

I made the kebab meat with sw chips and coleslaw and hubby had pitta bread as well...it's a keeper he says!!!! Mmmmmmhhhhhh

I've got a long way to go too. Started at 16st 11.5lbs and wanting to get down to 11st which is almost 6 stone. I just hope that I can do it.
