Another newbie here! :D

Hi All!

I am Diane - and I have been trying to slim down for a few months now by doing Ice Skating a few times a week and generally eating more healthily.

I've managed to lose about half a stone, but it seems to have levelled out there.

I have also started the couch to 5k program (which i am actually really enjoying!) and am on week 3.

I need to lose another 2 and a half stone ish to be at my goal weight so figured its time to think about a diet as I do quite a lot of exercise now and so should be losing more in my head i think!

Hopefully I will be starting Slimming World tonight (scary!!) although I may have a look at Weight Watchers as well... anyone got a recommendation about which is best?

I love cooking but i get home so late its not always possible - but i do plan in advance.

The weight loss is not just to be healthy, its also for my January holiday that I booked to go to NYC and Florida :D Mickey Mouse land here I come!! :D

Looking forward to sharing tips and motivation :)

Congratulations on your weight loss -its great when you make small changes in your lifestyle and the scales reflect your efforts!! :)

Can't comment on either diet as I'm doing Dukan and that's my 1st diet in 12 years (seriously!). I also did the Couch to 5K last year to run my 1st 5K and also loved it... it made the transition from nothing to something quite easy for me. I can do 5K quite easily now (though I don't if I'm honest), but it really works! :D

Good luck to you and I hope whichever diet you find brings you loads of success!

I went for slimming world in the end! I couldn't figure out how I would fit counting points etc into my day so slimming world it was! Was my first day yesterday- so we will see how it goes! :-D
