I'm really glad I found this site, I really need support to lose a LOT of weight and looking through some posts I can see how friendly and helpful you all are! :D

I've had a bit of a lightbulb moment and realised I have to do something about myself before it's too late. I feel so guilty that I've probably missed out on some fab times with my 3 yo son because of my weight. :cry:And I've noticed that I'm isolating myself and not keen on seeing friends, going out, having people round, do you know what I mean?

I'm planning on doing small goals at a time, then maybe it won't be so overwhelming! So my first goal is to lose 28lbs by August, acheivable I think, if I put the effort in!

I've tried loads of different diets hoping to find my miracle cure and failed miserably so I'm making a different approch this time. I figured I just need to eat less and move more! So I'm calorie counting and using ultra slim. And as I can't go to any groups (such as ww, sw, etc) or afford cd or similar, this could be a good thing to try.

Also, I have zero willpower. I CANNOT just have one biscuit! So if the food isn't in the house then I can't eat it!

My other big downfall is excersise. I used to be quite active when I was younger but I just don't like moving at this size so I'm hoping after a few pounds have gone and with a bit of encouragement I might find the motivation.

I'm planning on starting somekind of diary to update on a regular basis but not sure where to start yet, so bear with me!

I've only been on here for a little while and it's been a help already, just putting my details on display to the world is a HUGE step for me! :wow: So thanks and wish me luck!

Hey Coops, I am new too :) And well done for joining, I congratulate myself too, something I thought I would go alone, but I cant lol. I started my diet just over a week ago, I lost 4lbs in my first week, I struggled at bit with what I can what I cant have, so to start off I changed sugar to Sweetex, I changed my butter to low fat, same with cheese, I bought fruit instead of Chrisps so I guess thats how I done my first 4lbs, that gave me the motivation to carry on :) I wish you all the luck in the world and you will reach your goal, I have a feeling about you :)

I see you are doing Slimming World, have you done it before? I did it once and was quite successful and lost about 2 stone but then I got very complacent and cheated all the time. I don't think my head was in the right place.

I need to get it in my head that I can't ever go back to eating like I did. Once I've lost a bit I tend to think I can eat cakes etc just in moderation. But that is what I just cannot do, I keep going till there's no more cake!

I've also switched to sweetner, marg, skimmed milk and I've been drinking tetley redbush & vanilla tea a lot, that's quite filling and is naturally sweet. Someone said to me about getting skimmed milk that doesn't need to be refridgerated, the stuff in the cartons? Apparently it tastes more like semi.

I know it's only day 4 but I've got past the headaches (I get them really bad when first cutting out rubbish) and not snacked AT ALL and now I'm actually looking forward to weighing on Wednesday! Just hope I can keep this positivity going :fingerscrossed:
