Another Returnee

Hi,

I'm a returnee :)

I need to lose weight in order to TTC. You'd think that with hvaing such a good reason to stick to the plan would be easy... but it so isn't! Today is my THIRD re-start day....

I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Hiya,

Quite a few of us are trying to drop weight to TTC so your in good company :).

After TTC for 15yrs I gave up trying so I decided just to start focusing on myself, i joined ww and lost 3st and within 2wks of getting to my goal weight I found out i was expecting my son. I regained all the weight while i was pregnant so now 3yrs on I'm back trying to drop the weight in the hope it brings us another miracle :) x

Good luck on your restart and your future TTC xx

Thank you for your warm welcome and replies. I'm pleased to say that day 1 went well :) Day 2 is going OK so far. I wish that I can sleep and wak up to find it's day 5 or 6 as this is when it gets a little easier for me.

Tracy, i'm hoping for a miracle too! I've been TTC for 13 months and managed to get pregnant only to have a miscarriage at 8 weeks :( I'm now waiting for periods to return so that I can TTC again.

How long have you been TTC?

Hi SST, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage,
I've been trying to conceive too :0( been trying for 10 months :0( I've been pregnant 3 times 2006,2007,2008 all ended in miscarriages at 16,8 and 21weeks! Really hard time, so gave up trying for the last couple of years so started trying again this year but nothing. With my second pregnancy it took nearly two years to conceive and that's when I found out via scan I had Pcos :0(

My Polycistic ovarian syndrome is at is worst instead of it just being in the scan my bloods are all out of whack so I think the only way forward is to lose weight and kick start ovulation. I'm 16lbs down but I've had a few days off, hoping to lose 2/3 stones more!
Good luck with trying to conceive honey and the weightloss journey I know how hard it can be! There's loads of support here whenever your feeling crap Xx

Hi,

I am so sorry to read all about your miscarriages. I guess that I've been lucky that I miscarried quite early on..... and I found that to be very traumatic. I can't imagine what you went through to miscarry in your second trimester. Have you had any miscarriage guidance? I'm going to the miscarriage clinic tomorow to try & establish (if possible) the cause of my miscarriages. GP thinks it's age related as I've just turned 40. I have a double whammy of being termed with secondary infertlity and now seeking advice from the miscarriage consultant!

Have you been given clomid? I've heard such good things about it.

Huge congratulations on your weight loss :)

Hi Hun, I haven't been given Clomid as I haven't been trying for over a year yet,so doctor won't refer me until then. In all fairness I conceived naturally in the past so hoping it happens again. I remember being atleast another stone and a half lighter on all 3 occasions so I guess that's what motivates me I'm hoping that if I get there again it will just happen for me.

My second trimester miscarriages were down to a weak cervix which meant I went into premature labour early :( so next time I get pregnant il have a cervical stitch put in at around 12/13 weeks and il be referred to a specialist clinic. So I'm hopeful that next time around il be fine.

Let us know how you get on with your appointment tomorrow Hun and hopefully you'll get some answers. Your 40 so your not out of the running yet I work in a neonatal unit so I see a lot of older mother who've had successful treatment it's taken long but they have eventually got there so stay positive. :) I'm rooting for you can't wait to hear your miracle story! :)

In the meantime I guess we just have to focus on getting healthy and sticking to our goals and eventually we will both get our little ones! Xx
