Any tips of how to search

Every time I try to search on my app for a reciepe Or if I'm looking about syns for example I don't find anything of use comes up but I keep reading about being careful about what you post if there's already a thread but I can never see if there is a thread and I'd love to be able to search for reciepes and syns as I love the forums but find it so time consuming looking through every single thread so just seeing if anyone has any tips of how to search

Aw don't get me started on the search function on the app it's ridiculous! Brings up stuff that has no connection with what I'm looking for!

Totally agree. really bugs me when the thread is 100s of pages long but no idea what page what you are searching for

Trouble is thats ok if your on a laptop/computer but if your on a smart phone (which a lot are) they you can do a search but brings up 1000s of options which you surely can't expect someone to work through


These are the reasons people start new threads! So we shouldn't be quick to judge!

Yea I try to search on iPad I even say I want slimming world and loads of weight watchers and other diets threads come up so I can't find anything even relevant to what I want but then it seems a big issue if you open a thread that has been opened before for example I was looking for a flapjack recipe which has obviously been on here before but I tried searching and couldn't see anything that was right so I opened a new thread and I was told to do a search back to square one haha so annoying. I never use my laptop as I have an iPad

If you're on an iPhone or iPad the search facility works fine.

Best way is to search your keyword in titles only then display results as threads not posts

Ok you can't search a specific forum but it doesn't do badly

There are several issues with the app which are being worked on

If you search flapjack you get 45 results. Skimming through the results you can eliminate about 39 of them which aren't in the SW section

It doesn't on mine for example if I search quiche looking for a recipe I scroll down to slimming world recipe section and breakfast ideas come up nothing to do with quiches

When I search for quiche on the iPad 8/9 recipes on the first page are SW quiche recipes

No you need to put the options to search thread titles only not thread titles and posts.

Hold the round button at the bottom of the screen and the button at the top corner of the screen together (as if you're putting it to sleep) it takes the screen shot you should hear the camera click noise

Thats how it comes up on my iphone & ipad, when i searched for something. Nothing relevant to my search so therefor cant find the answer. Then im thinking should i shouldnt i post this question because it has probably already been asked x

Because again you're not searching the right way

I have gone to the search part, put in the question/word and pressed done. I dont know how else to search. Im probably being thick, but dont no how else to do itx
