When my sinus r bad I use a nose spray. Gets rid of it easily.

Right I tried going for a run. ran half a mile then realised I was bored so turned back! Think I might stick to zumba lol :)

Teehee, at least you gave it a shot! I don't get on with Zumba, everyone's different :)

Problem is I dot have any blocked nose left its all pressure around my eyes and nose an then throat feels strange too. Might have to get some of that if docs can't do anything. Fingers crossed I'll be better next week ready for the gym again!! X

Its not really used for a blocked nose, its got a mild steroid in it, which works as an anti inflammatory x

Your welcome, it wont do you any harm! In some chemists they have a pharmacist you can chat to, you could always give that a go if you haven't got an appointment with the GP yet x

Ok so we have this guy that's comes into work every other day for the last 2 weeks just for a chat and after googling him turns on he was homeless in 2010 and got done for illegal car washing....

He has just bought me..... A regular size bag of maltesers(the average bag), a medium bag (120g) and a huge movie sharing bag!!! Luckily they are out of date...

Go careful Nikki, he may appear harmless, but you just never know...... & do not eat the Maltesers, goodness knows where they've been & could have sorts of bacteria/virus/fungus on them!!! Sorry for being a drama queen, I read/watch too many crime novels/tv!!! x

Good morning ladies! Sorry I've been so quiet, things will change soon once I get these horrible essays done! Been thinking for a while now of going it alone at home, weighing in at group takes forever as there is so many people and the image therapy afterwards is not too great either because of the sheer size of the group. I can't go this week because of essay deadlines anyway so thinking of weighing in at the gym, dreading it though because I've had a terrible week of all the stress getting to me and making me think "sod it I'll just have loooads of chocolate". Feeling very big, lethargic and just generally down. Can't wait to get this uni year over and done with. Far more stress than it's worth I think...

Sorry for bringing the tone down for a bit there! I am still keeping positive though.. at the end of the day you just have to get back on the horse and stick to plan, it's a life style change not a diet. So I will be keeping true!

Got told to turn the zumba off :-( my oh is doing an online course and couldn't hear the instructor lol x

This made me laugh - could just picture someone trying to work while Zumba is on in the background with all the Spanish singing!

You've got a lot of work on and slimming world isn't a priority right now - I definitely know how that feels! What year are you in?

Do you think you'd be missing out if you didn't go to group - what are the pros and cons of going/weighing at home? I'm a list maker when it come to decisions lol. X

You're not bringing the tone down chick, we're all here to help & to be honest you would have to be a saint to get thru all those assignments & not buckle under the strain! So what, you had some chocolate, it doesn't matter, the main thing is for you to get thru this & if chocolate helps, well then......I think if you put too much added pressure on yourself you will become more stressed & then its a vicious circle. Eat SW food for your meals & if having some choc helps, well have some. You may be surprised about your weight as your metabolism is probably going a 1000 miles an hour & you may just burn it off naturally!
Personally, I dont rate going to group, but thats just me, as Im very focused & can do it at home & get all the support I need here, but everyone's different, only you can make that decision x

I'm in my final year.. so the work has REALLY piled on. I've had 25,000 words of essays to do this week, now down to 4000 left by thursday. After that I have revision for 3 very close together exams and my dissertation which is another 12-15,000 words. I'm going just a little bit insane from it all. But I will persevere!

Pros and cons... well the pros are definitely feeling a sense of achievement getting the lil stickers, helps push me to do better when it involves a group of people.. the mentality of "don't eat it if you wouldn't eat it in front of your group" tends to work quite well, except for the last week obviously

Cons... the size of the group means it's all very tedious and no one gets a decent amount of advise, unless it's the biggest people who lose the most kind of thing. I find I don't get any advise unless I go up to the C at the end and corner her. Also the cost.. as I'm busy with uni work I don't always have time to spend on 2 hours of group.. or the £5 a week just to weigh in sometimes..

In at the docs at 5.20 tonight. Definitely not touching the maltesers.... He's so odd, and the look like thy have been in a cupboard for donkies!!

Really stuck for dinner ideas today, I have a weight watchers soup at 3.5 syns or I have mug shots or super noodles. Not much in my cupboard at work t all!!

Thank you Kim :). I know I can still have chocolate.. just been having a little too much and after not having it for a good while, although it helps at the time I'm now feeling quite sick . I think I would be able to stick to SW from home, I get much more support from these forums (especially this group now!) than I do at group.. I think it will be worth a trial run

Give it a try and see if it works for you at home, I've never been to a group and a few others here do it from home too :) as you say get all the support here that you need might as well save the time and money if it works for you!

On a random note has anyone tried the new walkers baked stars crisps? Just had my first packet so yummy and only 5syns. £1 for a multipack in Asda or tesco at the moment :) x

You must must must try the diet coke chicken me and OH have it all the time! We use the sauce as a base for all sorts. They had no alpen light cherry bakewell so had to get double choc.

Picked up prawn crackers and happy feet 2 so a proper SW feast tonight!

Enjoy! Perhaps I will add it to the menu for this week :) How many syns are prawn crackers?

The cherry bakewell Alpen lights are divine, they actually taste like a bakewell tart :) Just pretty hard to get hold of.

And agree with Nikki on the diet coke chicken - its like a really sweet BBQ sauce! Love it!

How were your bran flakes Annie? :)

Ermmmm... I haven't really got around to eating them yet. Some girl scout cookies got in the way *shame*

Girls you make me chuckle talking about food so early in the morning, I love it!

Annie.....you must get those jeans, dusky pink is a lush colour & will look lovely with a little summer top! Must have a look in Tesco, as they do some really nice clothes that last forever. I bought 2 little shift summer dress about 12 years ago & they're still going strong & still very fashionable. Mind you the reason they've been going strong is probably more to do with the fact they are a size 10 & I could only fit into them when I first bought them & last year lol! They are my goal dresses & have lots of nice comments when I wear them!
How does the size 10 feel on you now? Coz if they're a bit loose, get the 8's as well as you'll soon be in them!

I'll try them on (if they're still there tonight) and decide then. I can't imagine my backside ever fitting into 8's! (Especially if food keeps finding me)

I have to admit, as creepy as this is, it made me chuckle out loud. Does he really have nowhere else to go? He could be sunning it at the park! I dread to think how many syns are on the back of those. I know you're not going to eat them, but well done anyway! I'll eat most things given to me, but I think even I'd say no to those!

You're not bringing it down at all - hope you get to have a break soon. When is the end of your year? In terms of group, I personally don't have the self-control to go it alone, but as Kim says, everyone is different x

The prawn crackers aren't too bad. I fill a cereal bowl and it works out about 5 syns!! Bargain!!

I stock up on velvet crunch when I go to pound land as they are quite a bit cheaper there :) x

They do sweet chilli, salt&vinegar and cheese&onion. Tried sweet chilli today very nice :) and being star shaped makes them much better than regular walkers baked ;-) x
