Hiya :)

Here's the recipe: http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/200806-toad-hole.html

Yep, we are now having penne with rich pork and tomato ragu :) trying to figure out what I'm going to do, as I was planning for a red day and have already had 3 or 4 of my HEx's, but this recipe is only free on extra easy! Guess I might have to substitute my remaining HEA for an HEB and add 6 syns lol, nightmare x

I tried the toad in the hole - it was fab !

Thanks for recipe going look at it now yum:)

Ooh that sounds complicated ;-)
Only ever done ee so not sure about red/green days ??? Would like to try them but worried it's all weighing and not able to have what I usually have, but then that might be the point.
Hope you manage work it out sorry can't be any help though x

My son loves toad in the hole but I just make him a normal one and use reduced fat sausages. I just take the puds as syns, they are worth it. We only have it every so often though but it is his favourite!

I am going to try do a red week again this week as I do believe they have helped me. I havent got anything for dinner though :( hoping there is some fruit in the staff room. I am going to an all you can eat tonight so need to minimise the syns!

Mmm it looks lovely and the red onion gravy going definately make this what sausages are best to use? Not had sausages at all since started sw.

Do you increase and slow down again or just keep increasing each minute? Is that one of the settings on your treadmill? I would imagine something like that is easier to monitor on a treadmill lol

I slowly increase to top speed (12kph) and try and stay there for a bit before decreasing and repeating it again :) its so much easier on a treadmill!

The preset programs are useless - start off way too slow for me!

The way I'm looking at it is, even if my HEx's are a bit mixed up plus a few syns, I've only had 49 syns this week and its nothing compared to the food I used to eat on WI night! At least its still an SW meal!

I haven't really either, but just discovered Weight Watchers premium pork sausages - 1 syn on red and EE and 4 syns on green. I tried Tesco reduced fat sausages (same syns), but they were still quite greasy. I sat them on kitchen roll for a couple of mins before serving and they were yummy - didn't feel like I was missing out at all x

I am finally in the 9's ! don't think I want to
be in the 8'a but we will see ! set my target at 9st so will see when j get there :)
love reading all your stories ! x x

Hello & welcome. We may have to persaude you to join the 119 club!

Just finished my morning 30min run - tried doing some sort of fartlek training increasing speed for 1 min intervals - felt really good! I hope the novelty doesn't wear off - though it really does put me in such a good mood for the day!

Its a brilliant training programme & fabulous for stamina, but dont do it everyday as you will to give your muscles time to rest, dont forget to do some endurance x

Hey there, and welcome! My original target was 9.7 and then 9, and when I got down there I lowered it to 8.7 as I felt there was still more to go :)

What SW days do you follow? X

Wow 3 half marathons thats fantastic!! I'm so impressed and a great time too well done.
Sorry your not able to run, but cycling is just as good, if not better, no pressure on joints. I feel like I'm falling to bits too, I blame my age I turned 40 in Jan and its all going down hill ha ha ooh to be 20 again ;)
Think on a further post youve said your off work, Hope things are getting better for you, and you are keeping well.
take care xx

I think as soon as one thing starts going wrong it all goes wrong a bit like a car!!!

Sounds very... tiring! Lol, I'd like to have a treadmill one day :) I couldn't justify buying one yet though - I'd probably struggle even with the preset programs til I'm a little more used to it!!

Oops the post I said to Charlie has disappeared!
All I said was.....be careful not to that sort of training everyday as you need to rest your muscles, but well done as its a fantastic exercise & will really strengthen the muscle...its all about the slow & fast twitch muscles I think....will have to check with DH as he's a fab runner if you need any advice x

Your reply went inside Charlie's quote x

Do you feel as if you've lost any? Im sure you have as you've been so good this week x

I felt really heavy when I woke up, so I am a bit worried, but I know I've been excellent this week, so I'm staying positive :)

Still feel a bit wibbly, so I'm looking forward to toning up x

Annie.....One of my fave dinners on red is homemade meatballs in SW bbq sauce & roasted veg.....delicious. Also on red, you can have anything really, but if you want any pots or pasta you can use a Hex...I quite often just have a meat dish with no pots or pasta & its normally filling x

Thanks Kim :) I think I'm going to invest in a slow cooker x

OOpsie, so it did........thats it, the mind is falling to bits now as well as the body, there's no hope!

I think we all feel like that, its a coping mechanism!
Give it time, you will get there x

Maybe that's a good idea! Seen some lovely recipes for soups and stews though, as well as bolognaise and chilli con carne :)

With the replies, try not to write inside the quote tags; you could either reply completely underneath the post or start a new set of quote tags for each bit you want to refer to :) x

What are your favourite dinners on red? Could use some ideas :)

My favourite is a superfree stew.
I do this in the slow cooker with chicken, broccolli, cauliflour, petit pois, carrots, baby corn then 2 veg stock and some gravy granules (aunt bessies 1/2 syn for 50ml)
I leave it on low all day and then serve it up when I get home. I do some potatoes for my OH and son. Its gorgeous. If I havent had any syns I sometimes make some small dumplings too.
Thats my fav recipe.

That sounds amazing! How do you make the dumplings? And how many syns are they? I dread to think how high normal ones are!!
