Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

There's a really good thread in the main forum, saying that free food and syn free food aren't the same thing - really made me think and its a very good point!

Morning ladies
Sorry didn't post yesterday, busy day just wanted to let you know I managed my race and I'm over the moon I did it in 2.15.19 absolutely thrilled to bits :) my knee was sore and it resulted in a cramp like pain up my leg from about 7 miles but with my friends encouragement ( they wouldn't let me stop at all) I dug in an managed to keep going. I ran it all no walking so chuffed with myself fantastic feeling !!!
Thanks for all your support really appreciate it !!! X will catch up later on the weekend hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine xx

Mm, interesting but I think it's reading too much into it. If its not mentioned in the books and things then I doubt we need to worry about it - we've lost weight without knowing all this info after all! X

Awesome! Congratulations! Bet you're glad you pushed through, although I hope you're resting up now :) x

Could be helpful if someone's losses might be slowing down though. I know it doesn't apply to us quite so much as we're all nearing target, but it might explain why my stepmum has been losing reallyyy slowly - she eats anything up to 5 mullerlights a day! I think it's definitely something worth thinking about.

Ah yeah true, didn't think about it like that! X

Charlie, I've lost my running mojo :( I haven't run since Thursday and I can't seem to find the motivation. Do you reckon it's because it was a bad run?

I might force myself to go and run tonight..

Yeah probably, if I didn't enjoy a run I would be reluctant to go again. Try again a and hopefully it will be better - but don't force yourself if you really don't want to because it will become a chore. You can always wait till you fancy it again. I ran on sat but forgot to log it in my app!

Perhaps try a different exercise for a bit? X

I might try Zumba on the wii a couple of times this week. I love the feeling I get after a run, I just reallyyy didn't enjoy it on Thursday and I think that's what's putting me off. Hopefully a good run will sort it all out again :)

I love the feeling too! Apparently it's called the runners high :) yeah, a good run could sort it out, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - nothing beats a good run! X

I'll go out for a run this evening - hopefully it'll still be daylight!

I zumba nearly every night. I love it.

I think we talked about zumba in the 10s to 9s thread - I do really enjoy it, not sure why I stopped! Was too much with the shred I think lol x

Yer I tried to do the Shred and Zumba but it nearly killed me. I just got the new zumba rush for kinect and its amazing. Some of the songs have got really 'dirty' beats and I love it.

I'm tempted to get Zumba 2 for the wii - that's got way better songs on it! Its just a matter of space and invading everyone elses routine (I live with my mum at the moment and heaven forbid should she miss her murder mysteries...)

That is a fantastic time, especially with a poorly knee & you wanted to do it in under 2hrs 30 mins. Dont forget to have a few rest days x

Annie, that can happen sometimes, so try not to worry especially if your mind is elsewhere for any reason, it can happen. It can do the body good with a few days rest & then when you go out again you will get the buzz again! x

Thats coz of the endorphine release from the brain! x

Even tho we dont count calories, people still need to be aware of them....'free' foods like mugshots have nearly 300 calories & have no substance in my opinion & are a lazy/junk food as there are loads of foods we can eat out there. Muller yogurts are 100 calories, so thats 500 cals & wouldnt fill you up, so why waste empty calories.....in my opinion! :)...off high horse! :D

That's what I was trying to get at, you just explained it better! I sometimes have mullerlights if I'm really struggling for a sweet fix and only ever had mugshots less than a handful of times if I've been completely stuck, but certainly don't rely on them as a staple part of my daily diet.

I think that could be why stepmum is struggling on SW, but then again, I don't think her heart is in it either. She complains about losing slowly and doesn't understand how I can lose the way I (sometimes) do, but she doesn't seem to listen to the advice I give. Plus she's on maternity leave, so not on the go as much as I am. Don't know what else to suggest to her. Any ideas?

Think you hit the nail on the head there Annie, by saying " her heart isnt in it either". Any form of 'diet' or 'healthy living plan' needs 100% commitment & if your head isnt in it, you wont lose weight, as you will always make an excuse for putting that pizza in your mouth! There is nothing wrong if we decide to have a flexi day/off plan day, its getting straight back to it the next day or one day will turn into one week etc......been there done it lol!
The hard part starts when you get to target & staying there, as it is so easy to relax & then the bad habits creep back in again! x
