Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Have you ate something dodgy? Hope your ok tho x

I was trying to think back through what I have eaten and dont think so unless it was the boiled eggs I had with dinner yesterday. Its still dodgy this morning. My tummy just bubbles and I have to run to the loo!

We gotta live! Just stick to SW in between times x

That is so true. Dieting shouldnt take over your life or you wont enjoy it anymore it will just become a chore. Enjoy your mums birthday and just food optimise around it! It should make that much of a difference and even if it does you will have enoyed it!

Good morning everyone! I've got another loooong day of uni today, will most likely be an all-nighter at this rate.

It's really beginning to get me down actually, it's all so stressful. To put it across a bit, i need to write 10,000 words of essays by next thursday. Then its my easter break, but i still need to revise for my final year exams and write my 15,000 word dissertation. I'm going just a little bit insane from all the stress

Ouch! Thats not good & I can imagine how stressful it can be. But at least we have PC's now. When I did my Intensive Care course I didnt have a computer & had to write all my assignments by hand. Whats the title of your essay & assignment? x

One of my essays is a sociological analysis of the film "Fight Club" with regards to Marxism and work. My second one is about violence and gender. My dissertation is about anxiety and dating rituals.

All very different areas of sociology, all very stressful x

It is interesting, which is probably the only thing keeping me going to be honest. But I'm not going to be using my degree after this, I want to go into training to be a chef after I finish which is vastly different. Just finding it all very hard, and feeling incredibly defeated

But at least you will have the degree & knowledge & a basis for a lot of things. My DH was a chef in the military, but changed careers 10 years ago....I love chefs they're a mad bunch!

Exactly, I have learned a lot of thing while being here, a lot of life lessons and how to deal with people also sooome form of time management. Thought can't say my time management skills have worked this year. I just can't work without the pressure of the deadlines looming, but then it's so stressful.. vicious cycle really.

I just need to survive until the 17th May (my last exam) and then enter the truly adult world

So what happens when you enter the 'adult world' lol! Will you have some time off? Are you going to catering college? x

Midnight, I would love love love to be a chef!! Just can't afford to take time off work to train :-(

Haha well when I enter the adult world I'll have to be finding a house, dealing with rent or mortgage, car payments, tax etc etc etc. I won't really have time to have time off, as much as I would like some but I'll be hopefully attending Ashburton Chef Academy for 4 weeks to get some initial training, I would love to do the 6 month course but it costs £16,000 and I just don't have that kind of money. Nor can I spend another 1-3 years training at a catering college.

So will just have to see how it goes =)

I think there are places that do part-time courses? Have you looked into those? You might be able to train during your times off from your usual job

I've been a cafe supervisor before... Not really a Chef per se but on the right tracks. I'd like to do just an evening one if they do them, but I'd be too scared I'd end up in a pub kitchen at the end of it.

Certificate Cookery Courses Nottingham, graded certificate in Cordon Bleu Cuisine, the Manor School of Fine Cuisine Nottingham at The Nottingham School of Cookery, Certificate Cookery Courses UK

Found this through a quick little search, not sure if it'll be helpful or not. Obviously there are probably many other places that you could travel to, but I don't know nottingham very well to check haha. You'll only end up in a pub kitchen if you choose to do it, if you manage to train while keeping your job at the moment then there's no reason for you to leave until you find a place you're happy to go to.
