Thanks Emma. Its a long standing, well 2 years now, 'pain in the neck'! I think something else is going on & I'll need a 3rd surgery, but fingers crossed! Not sure cycling is any good for it, but need exercise in my life or I will end up pottier than I already am lol!

Must be a total nightmare for you. I think any sort of back or neck pain is definitely the worse as so hard to get comfortable.

Iron man is a 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and then a marathon (26.4 mile) run. Hes done them a few times before but before we were together. He's not done much training though so I'm not sure how he'll get on!! X

Yep your right there, painkillers & my heat pack are my saviours!
Im sure he will have an underlying fitness there, so Im sure he will sail thru it......bit mad tho lol!

So you all know how up and down my diet can be, on plan off plan, on plan off plan! Up up and up on the scales! Well..... I've joined the dark side!!! £30 for 12 weeks online and today I'm feeling so good!

I'm sticking with you though as your all my motivation! I had to wi this morning as I'd just joined and got the shock the of my life.... 9st 12!!! That's a 5.5lb gain in 3 days haha loved every minute.

Sorry to bore you ladies :-( just had a tough couple of weeks and needed a change xxx

You have to do whats right for you & if you think WW will help, well you go girl! Just a thought & Im not nagging/knocking whats right for you, but.....could it be that your body is happy at the weight you are now & the reason you're not losing, is you dont need to lose anymore? Or do you need to be on a 'diet' to control & be disciplined in your eating & are scared of putting all the weight back on?
You have done so well on the weight you've lost & are at the lower end of the 'healthy' BMI & I know you said about 'back fat', but that should come off with exercise. Please dont think Im criticising what you're doing, as we all know our own bodies & maybe coz you've been doing it for so long, you cant get out of the mindset of dieting as its become a way of life for you! xxx

Oo nice I went to Ibiza with my mum n dad. It was gorgeous.

We have had to come home due to the weather :-( not the rain we were fine with that but 36mph winds have snapped a pole in our tent :-(

I think you've got to do the right thing for you. I know what you mean about being up and down (I'm too scared to weigh since the weekend) and sometimes a fresh start is good.

I do agree with kim though - you've done amazingly well and maybe you dont need to lose anymore (you looked teeny and gorgeous in the photos) I guess an alternative might be to consolidate and then lose a bit more if you want to in a month or so. Although saying that you sound super motivated so maybe a good time to embrace it!?!

Do what's right for you and don't disappear either way :)

I never think your criticising me chick, I take everything you say on board :)

I know that I'm not strict enough at all, and in January I dropped to 9st 2 by being strict and so I know I can bring it down a bit lower. I'm hoping the exercise and trying to shake my diet up will help. I think as well I'm sort of bored of the same meals I cook week in week out on SW and today I feel great because I've had things I live which I never had in SW, I know you can other things on SW but always felt a little bit " cheated" by having to syn a pitta bread if it wasn't coop or asda and if it was white! Also, I love the concept of earning exercise points through WW. And then there is portion control... Which I have none of!

I think for the sake of £30 I'm willing to try my hardest between now and June and see of it works, if not I've not wasted a fortune.

Thanks Emma :) i just want to get to a maintainable weight and I think that all of us have obviously been overweight before and so weekends such as Christmas/Easter are always going to make us want to enjoy ourselves and gain weight but then we know how to get it off again :)

Unfortunately for me my holiday on the 24th feb has extended right up to yesterday!

Good news is OH is working away this week and next and so we only have Saturday night to contend with, we are going to see Grease at the theatre and depending on his cricket match we may use our bella Italia vouchers, if not its a subway salad for me :)

You certainly sound motivated Nikki which is one of the main parts to losing weight & WW is better at portion control. Must admit when I did WW many moons ago I did like the exercise points & the variety of the diet. But we all have to do whats suits us best. I really hope you get on with it ok & would love to hear all about your WW adventure x

So, the next question is....do I put you down for a 5.5lb gain for today & then carry on with a Tuesday WI or do you still want to do a Saturday WI? x

Sooo much easier without men to feed definitely.

Well I was thinking about this earlier and I much prefer a Saturday WI so I'm going to change it on WW online and then I'm being honest with myself as its a whole week and will see exactly what's what :) so I'll next WI on saturday and I can stick with Saturdays :)

They'll be no kicking me out of here hehe

Of course keep us updated with how you get on with weight watchers and would be very interested in what you get to eat too as its something I have considered basically as portion control is severely lacking! Tried a week of calorie counting a few weeks ago and I know what you mean about being able to eat things that you can't eat on sw it's fun having them without having to use your entire days syns on them! X

Well so far today I've had a WHITE pitta bread with jam and then I had a WW chicken penne pasta... Delicious and soooo filling! Then I've been having my cranberry light juice because it 0 points! Yippeeeee!!! Just want to find out now about pureeing fruit for a smoothie.

Definitely agree with the others - you should do what's right for you! Please keep us updated, will you be keeping a food diary? I'm really interested to see how WW works!

I'm sure the 5.5lbs will come off before you know it, good luck :)

Free light cranberry juice ooh the dark side is tempting ;-) have you tried ww before? Does online explain everything ok? As I think I can get quidco cashback (it's a magical cashback website) for joining ww online so might make it really cheap, going to keep at sw just now but interested in trying ww at somepoint x
