Anyone moved from Lipotrim to Exante?

Thanks Cybill, or is it Rachel? :)

I'd actually read that earlier and really appreciated it, just wondered if other people had moved from LT specifically to Exante.

Yes I did a while ago, I started in LT back in 2009 - didn't refeed properly or anything and it all came back on again. I tried to go back on LT last year but I couldn't stomach it anymore - so I switched to Exante because of the bars and a bit more flexibility (you also get a few more calories on this but it doesn't seem to affect anyone's losses). The bars are lovely - so much better than the LT flapjacks which are like the bottom of a chinchilla cage! The chocolate shake is horrible now on this though -they've meddled with it, but the vanilla is far better than the one on LT tastes like ice cream, strawberry is ok, no better or worse and also you get to have banana as well on this.
Another benefit of this diet is that if you struggle with water intake then you can have Tesco flavoured water - strawberry or apple, they do 1.5 litres for a reasonable price, also Exante now do water flavourings (though I bought mine in Ebay- its from the kee diet and I find it kind of tastes like a more pleasant Lemsip).
Some people also have Coke Zero on this diet, you can also if you wish add a tiny splash of soy or skimmed milk to tea/coffee if you wish - ketosis should be ok if you don't go overboard it really is in small quantities and opinion varies from person to person - also another plus point is that you can substitute the Asda or Biggest Loser bars (meal replacement ones) for the Exante ones - saves on expense if you don't like the Exante ones or you need to save some money again this varies from person to person). Hope this helps x

Thanks so much Miss Bean. I've ordered a Shakes only bumper pack, wish I'd got some bars now as well. I just assumed they'd be as hideous as the LT flapjacks.

I could just buy some others though as you say, especially if they are cheaper than the Exante one!

Thanks. Your post is very helpful!

I'm seeing this one week out and then switching. My order should arrive on Tuesday when the LT runs out. All systems go!

You coming along for the ride?

Yea, I've ordered mine but they say it can take up to 5 days to deliver so might need to buy another lt wk.

What package did you go for?

HI lipotrim have lost 29 lbs with lipotrim in 6 weeks, at the end of this week will be doing exante mainly because of the cost a saving of over £40 a month, have ordered the bumper pack assorted, it sounds very similar, a few calories more a day more (about 150 ), so will see how l get on

I too am considering swapping to exante, been on lipotrim 12 days now and whilst it's definitely working I don't know if I can do it long term and I have another two stone to go. Exante does seem a lot more flexible particularly as you can add a meal in on some days (if you stay low carb shouldn't affect ketosis) which will mean I can socialise at weekends. I have ordered some exante off ebay to sample them first and if they are ok, will swap. The only thing I'll miss is the weekly weigh in at the chemists but I'm beginning to think that an online weigh in may be just as good - you guys can keep me in line! The chemist probably doesn't really care what I weigh anyway he just wants his money.

Can I join you guys? my samples arrived today so if they are nicer, I think I will swap

Hi angi,

What pack did you go for and when did you order?? I've only enough lt to keep me going until tomoro dinner and worried I'm going to run out, ordered on sat.

I got 2months- shakes and soups, and shakes and bars. Was a wee bit put off by the bumper as i would have had to had a bar every day

hi fizzyfluff - not done it yet! What I am considering doing is continuting with LT and buying some more exante from ebay ( i only got the soups so far) I can then sample all the products before I decide to change. I have heard the exante shakes aren't as filling as LT. I am ok with the LT shakes and I do kind of like the weekly weigh in at the pharmacist thing, so I may do a sort of hybrid of the two (but not having more than 3 products in total each day whether from LT or exante) until I decide. Someone will probably come on here and tell me that I shouldn't do that, but there can't be a massive difference between the two diets, they are all variations on a theme aren't they?

I think they are just variations of the same thing, although there is an extra 200 odd cals in exante per day

Well I have taken the plunge and ordered some exante! (only a week's supply at first though to check I like it). Tried the soups and they are nice much nicer than LT. Like the idea of having something to nibble on too with the bars. Am thinking of doing the working solution at weekends or maybe 3 times per week and the total solution on other days, then I can have the occasional (low carb/400 cal) meal with friends or family.

hi fizzifluf if your order does not come in time maybe you can get hold of some The Biggest Looser shakes/soups sell them at Asda, very similar and will help until your supplies come.l ordered mine on Sunday and they came today Tuesday, finish lipotrim this friday then starting exante

l think its due to several reasons, mine are it is definatly cheaper and also more choice, l shall miss my weekly weigh in by the pharmacist as he was really supportive and helpful, but l am so focused l know l can carry on on the tfr for afew more weeks prior to my hols in August, it has just become part of my life now and the results are great, plus these sites are a great help

Few factors, biggest was obviously cost. My lt was costing me £45 pw, have seen others was as low as £35!

Other factor, wasn't convinced how knowledgable/reassuring my chemist was. He didn't seem to know too much, think I knew more!! Plus it was mortifying going up to the counter and asking to speak to someone for the lipotrim with 20 people standing waiting on their scripts!
