Hi Donna, Welcome.

I joined halfway through the month too, and included what I'd already done into my monthly goal.

I'm posting to update my times.

The bf visited me yesterday (I usually go to him so it made a nice change) and we had a nice walk round the town. Estimate it was about half an hour. I'll go with 35 to round it all up. Don't like untidy numbers haha
And an hour down the gym this morning.

omg was going to join you but only starting with 3 x 20 mins brisk walk every week .. so measly 4 hrs a mth !! bit lame compared to you with 20 hrs under your belts .. should I step it up then to see deffinate results, was just trying to break myself in gently lol what sort exercise do you do in 20 hrs ??? x

4 hours a month is more than nothing.
Don't choose a target too high and then get demotivated when you don't hit it.

How about upping your walk to 30 mins at a time? Or adding an extra walk in a week?!
Do you have a dog? Or a friend you could go out walking with?
The nice weather is coming in now, maybe you could go out for a stroll on a nice sunny day when you haven't got other commitments going on?
Stick in your headphones and go.
I bike quite a lot and like to just get out there.
I've also recently joined the gym and have been signing up to their classes. I did Zumba on Saturday and have booked an aqua fit class tonight.
Is swimming something that interests you?

Something else I've enjoyed in the past but have slacked at recently is called geocaching.
For those that haven't heard of it, it's a high tech treasure hunt.
You're given the coordinates to the position of a piece of tupperware hidden out somewhere and you go find it.
I find it quite fun looking for it and have often been out on circulars where more than one have been hidden, and you can rack up a nice amount of hours.

There's so many ways to incorporate exercise into your day.

1 hour badminton coaching and 2 hours of games, if i remove the waiting around, probably 2hrs 15mins worth.

My calves are really tight today, uncomfortable when walking into town and especially when walking down stairs. Giving them a day to rest. If I'm not careful, I'll have to bulk up my hours and minutes with my everyday activites/walking (which adds up on it's own)!
 
I'd just like to cheer everyone on and say how proud I am of you all for your hard work so far this month.
We're halfway through the month and most of us are close to 50% of our targets.
We're on track to being able to complete our goals by the end of the month.

Thanks Tylar for saying my suggestions were "fab". I just ramble on lol.

Good idea with the resting today.
If you're already feeling uncomfortable, it's not going to get any better if you over work them with exercise.
That way you'll end up with even less accomplished than just taking the day off.

I hope they feel better soon and you feel comfortable enough to carry on with your goal =)

Good ideas Elfy and as Tylar pointed out, all the usual to ing and fro ing, household chores etc all add up.
 
Forgot to include the 5 mins on the rowing machine I did today. I've just started with it and although 5 mins doesn't sound much...it is atm!

5 minutes on the rowing machine is LOADS in my opinion.

Part of my plan down the gym is to do 1500m on the rower.
Today it took me 9 minutes and 16 seconds to do it, so 5 minutes is a good amount.
It makes my hands really sore though, full of calluses & blisters on the palm of my hands just under my fingers - need to get some gloves.
 
2 hr walk today ... so lovely to be in the sunshine and wearing a t-shirt rather than a winter coat!
