I've been invited to a wedding in 6 weeks time!! I do NOT want to look fat (well i will but at least don't want to be obese). How much can I realistically lose in that time? I can try to up my gym sessions to 4 a week and food optimise 100%. Is 3 lb a week a bit ambitious? That would get me to 10 stone and bmi of 27.3. Can i do it?

It depends on what your losses have been like. Some people do lose fast but I tend to lose at a slower rate. If you can stick to it 100% and have loads of speed foods AND be regimental with your exercise I don't see why not but I would aim for 2lb a week if I were you.

TIP: At WI on wednesday night we were told the difference between free food and Syn-free food. If you have more free food rather than the Syn-free then you should have a greater loss!

Thanks, I realise it's a tall order. usually my losses are crap because I don't try but when I do i get losses of 3-4.5lbs. Taz what is the difference between free and syn free? I'm guessing free is just al; your fruit and veg?

Your free would be what ever plan your following red or green....rice/pasta/pots/veg.... as red meats and the veg etc...

And eggs, quark etc.... i think if you have'nt been optomising properly, for a while and you start to again 100%, your first couple of weigh ins could be quite impressive. all the best Roz

Free foods is all the stuff that's in the food optimising book. Syn-free tends to be the packet stuf like Super Noodles and past n sauce etc. The difference is (apparently) the free basic foods are better for you than the pre packaged foods. Aim to at more of the raw ingredients for instance make your own pasta rather than super noodle.

Sorry if I just confused you even more!

So whats syn free then?

Roz x
Syn free is basically the stuff with no Syns but it's not the stuff they want us to fill up on. It was the first I'd heard of it but I guess it makes sense. I think the idea is you eat more of the raw ingredients

Roz, the excersise should help too, even if you dont lose the amount of lbs you want to, you should be nicely toned.

Go for it girl :D
