Asda Moroccan lentil soup

Hello, I've just started at Slimming World and was wondering if I could ask a couple of things as I'm a little worried I've been miscalculating things!
Firstly, if using olive oil as a healthy extra, can I use it to fry with, or does it have to be eaten 'raw'.
Secondly, my favourite soup is Asda's extra special Moroccan spiced vegetable soup, which on the calculator (if I put in lentils as the free food) came up as free on green (though lentil soup in the slimming world book has syns). Can this be true!?
Here are its contents etc:

Ingredients Water, Vegetables (23%) [Carrot, Onion, Potato, Celeriac, Butternut Squash, Parsnip], Tomato (16%) [contains Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid)], Red Split Lentils (6.5%), Chick Peas (6.0%), Dried Apricots (2.0%) [Apricots, Preservative (Sulphur Dioxide)], Rapeseed Oil, Tomato Purée [contains Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid)], Blossom Clear Honey, Cornflour, Lemon Juice, Coriander, Ras El Hanout Spices [Black Pepper, Ginger, Cardamom, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Coriander, Nutmeg, Cayenne, Cumin, Allspice], Garlic Purée, Parsley, Salt

Nutrition Per Unit Unit Size per 100gms/mls Energy KJ 257 Protein 2.9 Available Carbohydrate 9.4 Of Which Sugars 2.7 Fat 1.3 Of which Saturates 0.1 Fibre 1.0 Sodium 0.08

Any answers would be really appreciated - thankyou!

Hi Mate

I have always used my oil HEXB to cook and have never heard that you can't do this.

Good news also on the soup- free on green and extra easy so let us know if it is nice because it sounds yummy!

Welcome too!

Hi cocktailprincess,
Thankyou so much for your reply. The soup is DELICIOUS - it has a slight sweetness due to the honey and apricots, and the lentils make it rich and substantial. I'm going to stockpile it now in my freezer! I am still amazed I can eat it freely, and am wondering what news first weigh in will bring.
I hope your weight managing journey is going well.
Best wishes,
E
