. . . She told me balsamic vinegar was 2 SYNS a tbs. So I checked the book and "all vinegars" are free! . . .

There may have been a confusion - balsamic vinegar is free, but balsamic dressing or balsamic glaze would have syns.

Someties people say just "balsamic" without being clear about what they mean.

Went to Wetherspoons for the first time today. Had salmon, salad and a jacket potato.

I can absolutely promise you that no fat of any kind had been anywhere near it! It was a plain, very boring, jacket potato.

Also, all sauces, seasonings, dressings, butter, etc., for all the meals at our table came separately, so each individual could make their own choice.
