Its that time again... a new month coming up... time for a new challenge

The way the challenge works
You set yourself a challenge for the month, and then post on here every week when you weigh in. Then I edit this main post to show how well everyone is doing.

Why?
I find it really motivating, and it's easier to set myself a small monthly challenge then a huge one like 'lose 3 stone by Sept'. Smaller challenges are the best I say! :D

So... If you are interested in joining, just post and let me know how much you want to lose by the end of the month (it might also help if you post your weigh in days)

PLEASE remember and come back and update with your losses every week :)

Hmm, I really want to join, but I've joined every challenge since we started them at the beginning of the year and I'm yet to complete a whole month on the diet yet! :eek:

I'm gonna be brave and do this one..I will complete too, I promise, hehe

Starlight very wisely suggested that I aim for a simple 1lb per week (which would take me nicely to goal in time for xmas), so I'm going to say 5lb for Aug (there are only 4 weigh ins for me but seeing as this is my first week I'm going to aim for a 2lb loss for my first week and then 1lb from then on).

So, 5lb for me please :)

I'm up for the challenge if thats ok, I actually on lighterlife so don't be put off by the (hopefully) larger losses.

For August I'd like to lose 1 1/2 stone, my weigh in days are Wednesdays so I'd post here on Thursdays.

We have people on CD and LL do our challenges in the past, the main thing is setting a target youre happy with :)

Be sure and come back every week with your losses :)

I would be happy with a loss of 8lb in August.
Looks like you guys all weigh in Mondays but I dont weigh in till fridays is that ok?

I always include on these and have never completed a challenge yet but i WILL do August. Im not however going to bother too much about the WW scales weigh in i will use the monday morning one as a record on here so will say 8lb goal

Ooh, ooh, ooh, can I play, please, please.

I've not joined a challenge before, and as I will be signing up with WW tomorrow evening, and starting on 1st August, this sounds right up my street. Don't know what my weight loss goal would be, as I only want to lose about 7 - 10lbs in total, but I think if I start realistically with, say 4lbs for August, that would be about a pound a week, (considering I have been SSing recently and it might take my body a bit of time to adjust!). Anything more would be a bonus. So can you put me down for a 4lb loss for August please. Thanks x x x

I've never managed a challenge either. i want to lose 8.5 lb in August and that will take me to 17 st 7 lb. Any more will be a bonus.

going on holiday on 25 August so will not be here at the end of the month

Hi, I am feeling in a better frame of mind since i lasted posted and would really love to join the challenge, if you'll let me:wave_cry:.

I know i joined the last one and never managed to get past the first week but i am really really really going to try and complete August.

I am setting my challenge for 6lbs in August.

Ah ha! Just what I need .... a good slap on the arse and some motivation to get me back on track!!! :eek: I think I've tried a bit of everything diet wise over the last few weeks and I'm back to good old trusty WW!!!

Please can I have a target of 7 lbs for August. My WI is Saturday so will post updates on Sunday. Aiming for 2 lbs for the first 2 weeks and 1lb per week thereafter!!

Weigh In - Week 1

Morning!

Well I got weighed this morning and have lost 1.5lbs so 9lb in total.
I know I should have lost more because of being on LL but I had my father-in-laws 60th over the weekend and ate all weekend so really its not a bad loss
:)
