Barb's going at it a little differently!

So, pleased with 2lbs off, although seems like a miracle tbh! Need to really get on it this week. Thinking of incorporating some 'judding' - did this a few years ago and quite enjoyed it. Basically one very low cal day followed by one 'ordinary' day. No real cal counting to do but keeps the metabolism on the hop. Worth a go I reckon!

Well done on the 2lbs Barb especially as you've been poorly. I don't do extreme "judding" but I do like to have high/low cal days through the week. As long as it balances at the end of the week I think it's good to keep the body guessing so it doesn't get into a rut.

Thanks Tranq, slowly but surely will hopefully win the day.

Yet another chesty cold has appeared, hot on the heels of the last one. But, despite that, another lb bit the dust!

Hi barb
Sorry to hear you are still poorly but well done on the loss x x

Sorry, been absent. Very poorly indeed. Asthma/chest infection, can't move or speak much. On tons of meds, including steroids, antibiotics, nebulisers..... you get the picture. So, so, so fed up.

Sorry to hear your feeling so poorly barb xhope you start to feel better soon x x

Hope you get well soon barb!
I really like the idea of not weighing yourself but I know if I were to do it I'd get lazy!

Hello Everyone

I'm back and need you all more than ever. It's been a roller coaster this last year or so, the illness developed into Pneumonia and i was very poorly for sometime. Then when I was better did I feel like dieting? No I did not. So have been battling the same 7-10lbs on and off for over a year and today, I am back at 16.7, just half a stone less than when I got the diabetes diagnosis. talking of that, the diagnosis has now been removed, but if I don't lift my game it could be back. Basically after a lot of faffing about i had the HBA1C test done and it came back 'normal', I queried it with my gp, she spoke to the specialist at the hospital, they reviewed my notes and realised that I had been diagnosed whilst on steroids, which, push your blood sugar up! So, they are going to do an annual check, just in case and hopefully that's that. However, if I don't lose some weight i could be looking at that diagnosis all over again and I MUST not do that!

So i'm back, looking for support as always, hoping to give some too and generally get my butt back in gear.

All nagging very gratefully received. Haven't decided on a definite 'diet' yet but going with the cutting down massively plan to start with!
