BARIUM MEAL

    Hey I need to have a Barium Meal on monday, does anyone know if the stuff you have to swallow will have any impact on me being in ketosis?

    Yeah, and its minging i was sick as feck when i had it!!! tastes like chalk... you also have to drink lemon and ginger clear out stuff before hand which definately would throw ketosis!!! ewww sorry hunni ...but, i guess ts more important to get your insides sorted

    Coming out of ketosis might active hunger pangs...maybe not... it depends on how sensitive you are to centric acid.

    Stick with your packs and water you will be fine.

    im just goin to resist the thought of my first weigh in should keep me goin.. i have had one before and just drank water after it so hopefully i will be fine.. tut!

    was cambridge now exante
    never had to drink anything before it ( and neither has my wee one ) so it could be ok. dont think theres carbs in the radio opaque stuff but dont quote me on it
    are lot never give anything to drink after so i just washed it down with water and wee girls was just fed as normal.

    Hey a barium meal is a x-ray test where you drink a liquid that contains some barium sulphate can be used to obtain pictures of your upper gut - the gullet (oesophagus), stomach and small intestine.

    As TheMilkTrayMan say's, it is essential so whatever effect it has on any diet should be the very last thing anyone thinks about! You are having it for a reason so that should be at the forefront of your mind not whether or not it will kick you out of ketosis. Once it is over you just get straight back on plan

    if this a medical check with a medical doctor for your wellbeing than do it. health first, diet later. be safe, stay healthy.
