We are having BBQ's at the weekend too. I'm going to make up chicken and vegetable kebabs. There are some nicely flavoured chicken and steaks in the supermarkets too. Might try making my own burgers.... definitely going to avoid sausages.... and have lots of lovely salad and new potatoes !

If you can make your own burgers from lean mince that is always a safe bet for keeping things free! There are probably some good tips on the recipe forum!
May be a silly question but I've made my own burgers to I sear them in a pan before I take them to the BBQ or just put them on raw?
I just put mine on raw, they cook fine. I also got some beef tomatoes cut the top off, scooped the insides out and mixed it with tinned tuna, spring onions and a little extra light mayo. Stuffed the tomatoes with that, wrapped them in tinfoil to hold them together and stuck them on the bbq, they were YUM!
