Beef pie help

    Hullo,

    Am planning to make some sort of beef and mushroom pie tonight, with sliced potatoes on top.

    What would you use to make the gravy? Beef Bovril? Will it need thickening?

    I'd advise not to use too much liquid to start, you can thicken with smash if you have some, or a tsp of cornflour or arrowroot in a cup mix with water and add to the sauce stir well and bubble till thickened!

    cornflour/arrowroot= 1 tsp = 1syn
