Hiya All,

I'm starting my second week and thought I'd start a diary too.
My name is Beth, I'm 30 and my goal is to get into a gorgeous pair of (small) Size 14 jeans that haven't fit since 2002!!!

Ive tried dieting in the past (WW & CD) with some success but can't keep my arse in gear long enough to get to where I want to be. I wasn't always overweight I used to be a comfortable 12/14 even after the birth of my son in 2000. I believe that I started to gain weight when I got a new office job in 2001 the started to drive in 2002, the change to a job where I'm sat down all day coupled with the ability to drive every where as apposed to walking, soon lead to me piling on the pounds and stones.

So why now?

I'm the heaviest I've ever been, I tried WW at the start of the year and lost 12lbs in 3 weeks but couldn't stick to it. Having a little of what I fancy does NOT do me any good, as it leads to a little bit more and a little bit more.
I was involved in a car accident at the start of May and ended up in hospital for 5 days. I am still off work recovering. Once I was released from hospital I was under strict instructions to rest, so I did. I was sitting/lying down all day watching films and eating crisps/chocolate/biscuits etc and gained 7lbs.

The real turning point for me was searching for a new pair of jeans online (as my thighs rub and cause holes). After extensive searches I could not find a pair I liked in a size 24. I have numerous pairs of jeans ranging from size 14-20, some that have never been worn. I started thinking why on earth do I want to buy a bigger pair when I have loads of stunning jeans already?


So I switched from searching for jeans to searching for a weight loss programme. I stumbled across S&S and thought I'd give it a go (having doe CD in the past I knew what to expect on VLCD). And here we are a week in and 12lb gone!!

I'm not sure what my goal weight is. It's been so long since I was a 12/14 that I have no idea what I weighed. I have guesstimated 11st.

How are you finding week 2? I'm on day 11 as are many others on here so we're all in it to get to goal!

Hi Lizzy and Em,

I'm loving S&S, I'm totally focused and 100% committed.
However this is how I usually start and once the determination has gone, there is nothing I can do to get it back :(
I REALLY WANT IT and am gonna do my damndest to get to where I want to be x x

How are you Guys doing?

I know what you mean hun but ive found being on here for the past few days is really getting me inspired and motivated!!

Its my day 1 today im super hungry but feeling positive! Got a shake and a bar still to look foward to today and its good cos they actually taste yummy :D

You will definately get to your goal we can all do it together!

I always come on here when I feel
Hungry or a bit poo read through my diary and other peoples takes my mind off everything
 
Emariex don't give in to the Hunger Monster, the Super hero Ketosis will soon appear and banish Hunger x x
 
Day 10
So far so good!
I did the food shopping today, spent £100 and came out with lettuce, chicken and firming cream lol.
I did make me realise how much I didn't think about eating before. On the way out of the supermarket my son wanted a cheesy cob, usually we'd open the packet and he'd have one and I'd have two. I would think nothing of it and have lunch as normal when we got home.
On a positive note I have been sampling the S&S meals over the last 4 days. I've tried spaghetti, spicy spaghetti, cottage pie and chilli and been pleasantly surprised by how tasty they are. It's nice to eat some using a utensil as it makes me feel like I've actually eaten something. Oh and chocolate praline bars have become my fave! I steered clear of bar during the first week, just to make sure I got into Ketosis.

Well done for joining the journey Beth :) you seem to be doing really well so far honey. It does get easier the further you get into things but I found the key was the amount of water I drank seriously affects my losses. Just remember the more ya pee the skinnier you'll be ;) it works for me lol

Glad to hear your on the mend after your accident, keep up the good work honey x x x
 
Hi Em, I've found your diary! Wool Woop!
I'm doing good thanks.
OH connected Wii back up in the living room over the weekend, so the plan is to do 30 mins (about 200 Kcals) a day, from today. I didn't quite realise how unfit I am! But it's got to help with the weight loss.
Still totally 100% - Yay!
Hoping to lose 5lb this week as that is what I used to lose on CD, so I know that achievable.

hi beth glad its going well- your first week loss is awesome!
just dance on the wii is fab to get you sweating; me and my sisters have just been on it for an hour (look a fool but at least burn some cals :p)

Good to hear from you. I've been doing Wii Fit Plus. I like it because I can track my calories on there.
Have you started S&S? If so, how are you finding it?
I can't wait to put my order in on Friday (pay day lol) as I wasn't very adventurous with my first order and have porridge, vanilla, chocolate and chicken soup for the rest of the week LOL!

yes im on day 13 of s and s, so we started one day apart. its going really well so far thanks :) not hungry any more which is great and makes it so easy- i just don't want to lose my motivation!!
i wasnt too adventurous either lol so will be eating the same things over and over for the next few weeks :p
do you weigh in thursday then? x
 
I weigh in on Wednesday after picking my son up from school. I started on 14th but didn't get weighed til after school on that day.
Have you been 100%?

I've been on this for about 2 months now and I'm loving the diet and I'm managing to stick with the plan without faltering now. After finding out about the chromium tablets, they really help me. Also Dr P Zero is my saviour when I'm craving sweet things.

yes ive been 100% - ive surprised myself cause on other diets ive always cheated but its just so simple to stick to!
how have you been on it so far? x

i also love something fizzzy when im getting cravings for something yummy- i have a load of mini bottles of asda diet coke in my fridge :p
