Bl**dy men!

TrueBlueAngel

I WILL be thin!!
Sorry to all the men on here, no offence intended. I'm doing really well with CD and dont have any issues with it. I'm keen to keep going until the end of the month, when I have a big birthday and will celebrate, then start all over again (which Im pretty good at). Even my CDC is happy with that. I've come home this evening after a long shift to find that a friend of mine has invited me and hubby to dinner on Saturday and he has said yes! Doesn't he realise how important this is?! Now I cant refuse this dinner with friends but I'm sooooooo peed off that this will undo all the hard work I've done and will have to start all over again getting into ketosis. I'm tired and flaming well fed up now!

If I were you, I would speak to these "friends" and explain. Surely they will understand and support you??

Are you on a particular plan level?? Maybe you can have a meal that fits in with that if you explain what it is you are allowed to eat?

I'm doing the shakes/soups/porridge only and have been quite happy on that. Plus this is only my 2nd week.:(

Take your packs with you, nothing to stop you having that as they have the dinner. I'm sure they will understand.

Does your friend know you are doing CD? Maybe you could arrange another date with your friend when you are moving up the plans?:sigh:

My OH is the same - came home yesterday with my favourite bread rolls because he'd forgotten......

Hey..
You can still go to your friends whilst doing cd.. If you are doing ss take your shakes with you or if not just explain to your friend I am sure she could make you some chicken..
Or have one of your soups.
You can still socialise on CD, I have been doing it for nearly 17 weeks and still go out for dinner and out to parties etc when they have been planned. you cant stop your life totally for it. x

I have been out to various meals and have taken my packs with me...it was hard at first watching others eat but it got easier...and it is soooo worth sticking to!

Really, if these are "freinds" they will support you on this anyway. Bring along a soup and serve it up in a nice bowl with a sprig of mint on top, it will look pleasing to the eye for everyone else and only the lady of the house needs to know. If worse comes to worse then plan ahead, organise with the host to have a small piece of chicken breast or white fish with herbs only, no butter or oil and a wee bit of greens, this will keep you in ketosis and not do too much damage to your progress(if any). Planning is the key. Good luck let us know how it works out
