I used to have toast for brekkie, a sandwich for lunch, and bread with my dinner in the evenings. Since starting SW I do still have my 2 slices of bread most days, but there are days where I'll just say, to hell with it, and have a hi-fi bar instead.
Your bread addiction is a learned behaviour, and soon enough you'll get used to not having it all the time. Try saving your bread for the evenings and have a nice toasted sandwich.. that way you still get your bread treat without using your syns.

I too love bread!!! I find the less I have though the better my losses are so that keeps my hand out the bread bin. Would you not try green or orginal plan that way you could have 4 slices of ww bread a day, as you can have 2 healthy extra a day on those plans. Saving your syns for other things!

Thanx guys.doin the ee.my consultant just reccomends the extraeasy plan.so i must read the other plans.i love my toast in the mornin.wit me its all our nothin.i cant have half a bar of choc r just 1 biscuit i have to have it all.i think ur rite that it is habit.gona try and cut it out r LIMIT to 2 slices a day a.d mayb have syns then for treat.on a bit of a downer today.just got letter in post wit appt to have lump in breast checked.have lump 3 years and had it cheched 2 years ago and was told it eas nothin.but its stjll there and has got longer.im sure its nothin but im tryin to b brave in front of hubby and not mention it and hes gone out to work now and my legs have gone to jelly.sorry for ventin on ths site but cant talk to no1 and just needed to vent :-(

No need to apologise for having a vent. That's what this site is here for. Be it about the diet or the dog! You must be very worried. Strange that they said it was nothing and now want tests done. Maybe it's just a precaution.

I absolutely love bread and that's why we never by it anymore. If it's in the house I will binge on it and then I'll eat the whole loaf in one go just so it is no longer in the house.

I substitute it now with things like Pogen Krisprolls and ryvita. I have one pack of wholemeal pittas in the freezer which I will occaisonally dip into.

Now that we no longer have bread in the house I don't really miss it or crave it but I know the minute I took a bite out of a slice I would be all over it!

I hope you had your lump checked out. Doctors are quite good and carry out tests even if you don't want it. If they don't then you should request to be referred to a specialist and ask for a test. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I love bread too. When I started my diet a couple of days before christmas, I was in France - home of lovely bread but when I went to the shops I didn't go to the bread department. I had taken 2 large loaves of WM sliced bread with me but still have half a loaf left. I spend my HEXB on bread but putting the bread in the freezer it is not in front of me to tempt me. Also I had some friends on New Year's day and I bought some French stick which I had a small piece (2 inches) and was hoping my friends finish it but never happend, so I sliced it thinly and put them in the freezer. I noticed if I can't see it then I will not be tempted.

Mandydx and floweryrose,found lump 3 years ago and doc sent me to specialist-1doc there saud he cudnt ferl it :-0 and another saud it wasnt anything to worry about.but it didnt go and after noticin it got better i went back tk my doc.he referred me to specialist again.thats where im goin in 3 weeks.u hear so many sad stoties.i dint wnt to b 1 of them stories so thats why im gettin it rechecked

I absolutely adore bread. I try to avoid it as much as possible on SW as I really only like white bread which is obviously highly naughty. I don't enjoy brown bread, and if I have it I always want to smother it in butter, so generally bread is best avoided for me :( White toast with loads of butter is probably my top craving, but I don't even allow myself some as syns as it is absolutely lethal. Once I get a taste for it I can't stop, and will easily gobble down 4 slices!

Febbabe - I had a biopsy on a breast lump last year, so know what a difficult time it can be. Try and keep focussed on your weight loss and think about how you are working on your health, this will help take your mind off morbid thoughts.
