Hi all,

Picked up a new frozen quorn tikka ready meal which was only £1 at Tesco , bargain.

Does anyone know the syn value please?

Quorn Tikka Masala with Rice

Per 300g pack:

Calories 260
Protine 10.5g
Carbs 45g
Fat 2.4g
Fibre 8.4g

For the whole 300g its 13syns on all days

That seems high - I think you have forgotten to include the free food allowance

It won't be 13 syns because that is a straight 1 syn for every 20 calories conversion. But there should be a free food allowance for either the quorn or rice depending on which is the biggest ingredient and that will lower the syn value.

That is the syn value on the SW website. I also checked it with my consultant this week xx

When you say from the SW website what do you mean? Syns online where you just put in the product name or the syn calculator where you enter the nutritional information?

I have just seached for the syn value for the quorn tikka masala ready meal and to my horror the only thread i can find on it is this one where its valued at 13 syns......can anyone confirm that this is correct please?

Chef's Selection Tikka Masala, chilled, 340g pack 16½ 16½ 16½
Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice, frozen, 300g pack 3 7 3
Tikka Masala with Long Grain Rice, chilled, 400g pack 8½ 9 8½

Depends which one it is. This is an old thread and quorn have changed some recipes since then
