Calcium as a weight loss tool & avoid combining with caffeine

I think it's great that Slimming world encourages lots of calcium and fibre because there are loads of studies showing that increased dietary calcium aids weight loss.

I recently read though that caffeine can reduce the amount of calcium absorbed by the body so it's best to avoid using all your Healthy extra A on milk for tea/coffee.

To be fair the research I have seen said that calcium improves losses where a person is low in calcium to start with. So I wouldn't worry too much about using your HEA on milk particularly as you get calcium from lots of other foods in your diary as well eg yoghurt and vegetables
