    Hello :)

I'm just about to get my bum in gear and sort out applying for a teacher training course in UWIC. They ask for a reference and i think my personal tutor will do it - i was just wondering if there are hints or tips you could give me about training, being a teacher, the application or anything else really.

SCARED! I don't want to grow up xxx

Try and get some observations/voluntary days in a school. I know someone who is starting the trianing in Sept who did this and it helped with her application

I did voluntary work at weekends with a disabled kids charity, plus taught and shadowed in school. The PGCE is one hell of a year, you're so busy you need to consciously try and make some time for yourself!
    Good luck! :)
(I've been teaching for 4 years now.)

Yes I was referring to Hannah.

But i also know someone who was told they would only give her a place on the course if she committed herself to voluntary work first
