Calorie counting. 5month 4stone!!!

    Hi everyone.

    I'm starting calorie counting as from tomorrow. I am very overweight and panicking now as I get married in 5 month. I'm going to be having between 600/700 cals a day with supplements.

    My target is to lose 4lb a week. As I get going with this ill start to exercise aswell and obviously increase my calories.

    Anybody got any success stories with calorie counting. I saw some1 hadost 26lbs in 6 weeks.

    Hiya congrats on the wedding comming up! :) Wish u all the best xxxx i just wanted to say im not a doctor but i would think this isnt a safe approach..if you really must loose weight fast and quick id recommend doing a VLCD. Ketosis eating plan like slim and save xx atleast it will be safe and the plan is made to lose a stone a month safely with all its nutrients but where as just calorie counting on 600 to 700 calories a day and excercise would still leave you ill, poorly and out of energy and dangerous.

    Good Luck! Or even try doing slimming world or calorie counting but on a decent ammount to function your body properly x good luck!

    Yes I lost over 5 stone calorie counting but not on so few calories per day - as Curvylicious said it is not good to only eat 6 or 700 cals per day. It took almost a year to lose my weight - it went on slowly and it does take time to get rid of it.

    As the others have said, that's definitely not anywhere near enough calories hon. In fact the sort of DIY VLCD you're proposing isn't even allowed on this forum (see below). As has been suggested, you need to do a properly supervised VLCD to eat so few calories, or else do a proper calorie controlled diet of at least 1,200 calories a day. Please put your health first.     A diet like that would be impossible, never mind make you more likely to fail.

    As Tracy and the other ladies say above, unless it's a specialised diet like CD et al, you'll end up depriving your body of everything that it needs and cause no end of problems (and maybe even put more weight on from rebelling).

    Please don't think us killjoys, we just want to help you! I've lost almost 2 stone in 7 weeks so far just from calorie counting (with using some lunch/breakfast slimfast shakes along the way - but not every day - i tend to also eat proper food too) and eating around 1500-1700 calories a day. You may not lose the 4 stone you wish but in your time frame you will lose a good amount :)

    Theres a fab motivational story right there! Especially for me x i have 6 weeks before i go away on holiday and hoping i lose atleast a stone!! Defo going to start thinking about using shakes as part of calorie control x like slimfast..was already considering it now you spurred me ooooonn lol xx im currently on 1400 calories x

    Wow princesssparklepants 2 stone in 7 weeks well done that's amazing . Are u on my fitness pal hun. What sort of things do u eat I really need some inspiration xx
