Hello,

I was on here last year and did Atkins for about 6 months, losing almost two stone and I felt great.

Somewhere along the line, and I still don't know why, I fell off the wagon and haven't really managed to get back on it since.

I have since tried slimming world and Dukan but neither has suited me and inevitably the weight has crept back on and I think I'm almost back to where I started.

Atkins is the only diet that has ever worked for me. I've come to the conclusion that my body just doesn't like carbs. I'm getting married in 6 months and I don't even want to think about walking down the aisle looking the way I do at the moment.

I was doing so well and I feel a total failure for falling off the Atkins wagon even though I know from experience it's the only thing that's ever worked for me.

I've stocked up on meat and I'm clearing out all my non atkins friendly stuff this week. I intend to make a start on monday - Think I'm going to need a lot of support though.

Welcome back!

Don't fret about what is past - think of it as a valuable learning experience and move on. You're back now, you know Atkins suits you, and you want to get stuck in. And you have six months to prepare for your wedding...

You might have needed to try other things and find that they didn't work for you in order to realise that Atkins truly does. We humans learn by doing! Experience has taught you that carbs don't suit your body. They don't suit mine, either.

Good luck hun and keep posting x

Thanks for the lovely replies.

Starting tomorrow as I'm back at work which makes it easier to build up my willpower. I'm usually ok once I get into it it's just getting over the first few days and the dreaded flu

Wish me luck

sort of, still trying to remember everything - Atkins used to be second nature but you lose the habit after a while.

Re reading my book again to make sure i stay on track
