Can I have some advice on losing weight please?

You're bang on a healthy weight for your age and height. Is it your shape you're not happy with? Losing 10lbs or so will push you towards the underweight catagory, putting you at risk from health problems. If it's your shape you're not happy with, perhaps consider toning exercises to work on the areas you're not happy with? No-one (with any sense) will recommend you drop weight quickly- 1-2lbs per week is the maximum any reputable weight-loss site will recommend you lose.

Again- it doesn't sound like you have a 'weight' problem, more a 'size' problem. If you lose weight, theres no guarantee you'll lose it off those areas? Walking is a great exercise for toning your legs (plus its easy & free!) and I'm sure if you google 'tummy exercises' you'll come up with some simple effective ways of toning your tummy?

I thought you had to lose the weight and then tone? I don't really understand it all. Sit ups are good for your belly aren't they but I don't see how they'd make the fat go? x

You're not. You're a healthy weight. If you see 'fat' around your tummy, the chances are it's just untoned muscle. Trust me. Don't become obsessed with weight at your age. As a life-long dieter, I wish I'd just been content instead of spending my life chasing the 'ideal' body.

Why don't you buy a really good exercise dvd and do that at least 3 times a week, that'll help you tone up. I highly recommend the new Davina Superbody workout, brilliant!! Easy to follow and you can feel it working lol, I just need to get into doing it a bit more. I also have yoga and the yogalates dvds, they are great for toning too. Good luck hun x

then you need to do fat burning exercises....cardio basically...

its all about body fat percentage, not weight. if your body fat is low, you always look good.

and for us guys. if body fat is low, we get that 'ripped' look.
