Can't lose more than 1/2 lb a week help!

Hi all,
Don't know if I am on the right page, this is all new to me. I have been losing 1/2 lb a week now for the last 3 weeks don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have lost 4 and a half pound and have 11 pound left to lose to reach my target! Feeling deflated  any body with any suggestions please help!

You really need to post this is the main forum if you want much of a reply as nobody comes in here except for the Food Diaries.

But seen as Im here, I would say if you only have 11 pounds to lose then you cant really expect to be losing any faster than that to be quite honest. You really do have very little to lose. You could post a food diary to show what you're eating and people could advise you where you could improve (superfree, exercise, syns, eating more / less etc) but in all honesty you are so close to target you cant be expecting to lose 2 or 3 lb every week :)

If you go to the main forum and make a post there youll get more responses though :)

The less you have to lose the longer it takes when I started I was having big losses one week I lost 5 lb now its gone down to between 1/2 and 1 1/2 a week and i also maintain I try not to get hung up on the scales anymore its how I feel and how my clothes fit that really matters.
As long as its slowly coming off I'm happy .... At least its not going on

hun i have 8 stones to lose :( and only losing at 1/2 a lb a week so frustrating :( any ideas would be great :)

Vander... have you got a food diary we could take a look at? If you have 8 stone to lose, I would imagine you'd be losing more than 1/2lb a week, initially.

I started out with 9 stone to lose and since Sept. have lost 3 stone and 2lb. Some weeks I maintain, others I put on, and then out of nowhere I'll get a great loss. But I know it's been my own fault, as I've been messing around with it since Xmas. You get out what you put in. x

If the weight took some time to creep on it will take some time to loose it try not to get dishartened when i have poor losses I look at various things to give me a clue ....what are your portion sizes like are you eating 1/3 superfree are you following the plan 100% as my sw consultant would say . I plate up myself smallish portions eat leave it 10 min to decide if my body needs more then i top up with fruit and yog when I have bad weeks I look at my food diary it usually tells me where I went wrong and watch out for hidden syns in things as some things I thought were syn free weren't and i had A LOT of poor losses and some gains until I discovered that they had syns try upping the excercise as that can also be a problem I don't do enough :( keeping a food diary helps me a lot as if I have to write it down I tend to be better and if i don't write it down I'm only cheating myself I tend to have a few pound loss then maintain for a bit but its coming off so I don't mind it took me a good 4 years to puut the weight on so although I'd like to loose it fast i don't but the fat is going Slowly so I'm happy if you put up your weekly foods I can have a look to see if you are doing anything wrong but tbh some people lose quickly some slowly were all different hugs you will get there stay positive :)

Looks fine to me maybe you are just a slow loser over a year half a pound a week is just shy of 2 stone which I think is pretty good try to focus on bigger picture or try red and green days to mix it up a bit see if that makes a difference

And just remember the tortoise beats the hare

thanks lady's and my motto is slow and steady wins the race
i am a little sad i even made stickers with well done slow and steady wins the race with a tortoise on them :) i put it in my diary on weigh in day :)

You're doing a lot of exercise, Vander. Could be that you're over exercising. Your food looks good to me (made me hungry haha). Maybe try cutting down on the exercise if you're doing all that every day... or if you've just recently introduced exercise, your body could be playing catch up for a while.
If it works out that you're just a slow loser... of course it wouldn't be ideal... but....where are you going? lol. You'll still be here this time next year. Wouldn't it be better to lose that half pound a week and be two stone lighter, rather than give up and be exactly the same, or bigger?

the cardio-kick boxer is once a week and the mad cleaning is normally once a week with normal everyday stuff in the week so i should of said a typical weekend day

i do the shred it every day and the walking but food is right for most days.

i totally agree would sooner be the 2 stone lighter then 2 stone heavier at the end of the year x

thank u x

If your exercising a lot you will be gaining muscle Which weighs 3 times that of fat. Also if your muscles are sore you will retain more water too :) x
