Green Day carbonara

    I made this up last night and its delious.
    you can use ham as your HEX.
    mix low fat cheese spread into warm pasta (i used aldi be light with chives). fry mushrooms in frylight and add to pasta, then mix in a raw egg whilst still hot and serve, so easy took me 10 mins with quick cook pasta :p

    How man syns are in the Aldi cheese?
    I do similar, but with extra light laughing cow, quark & egg, and I use Quorn smoked ham deli slices.

    Ive done this b4 too.. think i got it out of sw mag a couple of months back. Its scrummy! Only thing is tho it bloats me up coz i eat too much spag! lol x

    I've never heard of it done that way before. This is how I make mine and I got the recipe from SW website.


    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
    1½ Syn on Original (add 6 Syns if not using wholemeal spaghetti as a Healthy Extra),
    3 Syns on Green and 1½ Syns on Extra Easy
    [​IMG] 4 rashers bacon, all visible fat removed
    3 eggs
    Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    3 tbsp very low fat natural fromage frais
    2 level tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
    Small bunch of chives
    397g/14oz cooked spaghetti



    [​IMG] 1. Roughly chop the bacon and dry fry in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes. Set aside
    2. Lightly beat the eggs, season to taste and add the fromage frais and 1 tbsp of Parmesan. Chop the chives and add to the mixture, reserving some for garnish.
    3. Add the spaghetti and egg mixture to the bacon in the pan and stir gently over a low heat until the egg starts to set.
    4. Serve sprinkled with the remaining Parmesan and chives

    I use low fat yogurt!
    Cook the pasta, but don't drain all the water and then beat in two eggs. The hot water cooks the eggs. Add the yogurt, slowly heat up and then I add either 5 extra light laughing cows or that new lowlow spreading cheese for my hex a. Sprinkle some parmesan on if I have some syns left. It's my favourite meal. You can add bacon, chicken and mushrooms for extra flavour. Yummy!!
