carbs in porridge

I noticed the carbs in the porridge are a lot higher than the soups and shakes... does this make a difference on SS?

I'm confused why you can have porridge in the first few weeks but not bars.

or has anyone been told you're not supposed to have porridge at the start??

Thanks

Hmm, I wouldn't say the carbs were a lot higher. Most of the shakes have around 14.1g of carb in each and the porridge has 15.5g.

In calorie terms, that's a difference of 6 calories' worth of carb (you could probably burn that off having a good stretch :D).

Technically, anything under 100g of carb intake is a low carb diet. Most people stay happily in ketosis at up to 50g carb per day (and many stay in ketosis at higher levels than that, depending on things like activity level ).

So if you enjoy the porridge, have 3 a day and don't even think about it. :)
