Penne pasta with tomatoes, olives and chick peas.
60g dry weight penne pasta (preferably wholemeal)
225g chopped tomatoes
half a small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic crushed
25g drained pitted olives
100g canned chick peas, drained.
Half teaspoon mixed dried herbs
80g green beans trimmed cut into thirds
1. cook the pasta according to instructions
2. put tomatoes, onion, garlic, chick peas, olives and herbs into a pan and bring to the boil. reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes
3. In the last 5 mins of cooking time add the grean beans to the pasta.
4. drain the pasta and beans and serve with the sauce.
