From what I've been reading the soups don't seem very popular, I've tried the Veg and found it nice and very drinkable, and yesterday had the brocolli and chesse, which wasn't great but drank it anyway. So I just wondered which are your faves and the most popular?
Also what are your favourites shakes & bars?

in terms of soups I prefer the oriental one and the mushroom/chicken and mushroom. I didn't like any of them at first but I'm happy drinking them now.

As for shakes - I like most of them but I have the choc hot with decaf coffee in it
most of the others I will either have as a mousse (which I think are devine) or as an ice cold smoothie/frappucino ... I DO NOT like the capuccino. And I don't often have the banana - except if I put a bit of it in with strawberry etc to make a smoothie.

Bars - I only like the orange one.

Tetras - I like the choc one - never tried the banana one

The soups were invaluable to me when I was on SS as they gave me the savoury element of the diet. Now I'm on 790 I don't have them as much as I can have savoury food anyway.

My fave soups are veg, mushroom, chicken and mushroom & leek & potato. The others are 'ok'.

My fave shakes are: CHOC ORANGE! (yum - I have one of these every evening as a mousse for pudding) but I also like cappuchino (also nice as a mousse oddly enough), and toffee & walnut as a porrige. I like all the others about equally but the only one I don't really like is butterscotch - maybe that's because I threw up just after drinking one the first time I was on CD :jelous:

As for bars, I like them all but only ever have peanut / cranberry crunch (cranberry being my absolute fave)

I really like the soup's (except Tomato yuck!) and always put them in a bowl makes me feel like I am eating home made soup! My favourites are Veg, chicken and Mushroom and leek and potato, my favourite shake has to be choc mint and the peanut bars are the best thing ever! x

I like the spicy soup, and the veg one and the tomato one. I like the choc shakes, and the toffee and walnut ones. And the choc tetras. And the peanut and cranberry bars. I'm boring. My CD order is always a mix of choc tetras, t&w and choc shakes and peanut and cranberry bars!

I'm a bit hopeless - I don't like any of the soups or the tetras and only like the banana and choc/mint shakes (strawberry is ok at a pinch!). For bars I like peanut, cranberry and caramel :)

I really like the oriental chilli soup. The chicken and mushroom and the vegetable aren't bad. I hate the others!

As for the shakes, I don't do banana - allergic to anything banana - but I love toffee and walnut, vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch. I also have strawberry, chocolate mint and fruits of the forest although I could live without FotF.

I only have chocolate tetras due to my banana allergy.

I like the diet and am really enjoying doing it - am I mad, or what??!!

I have only had the banana and strawberry shakes, both of which I love as they were the flavours I always had on Slimfast. Don't fancy any of the others.

I liked the chick/mush, mush and leek & pot soup but I have stopped them as they were making my skin sore, dry and itchy.

Love the bars but not keen on the orange, which has a strange taste after a few bites, and the caramel which, although it tastes great, i find the ones I had were not mixed very well and were a bit lumpy.

The Spicy Tomato soup made me literally want to vomit! Tomato soup is normally my favourite but NOT the CD kind! Favourite is Oriental Chilli, but also like Chicken & Mushroom, Mushroom and Leek & Potato.

Favourite shake is vanilla, but like most of the others.

Not on hard food yet ;)

    Hi all

Love the veg, chiili, leek/pot + chicken/mush soups - mush ok.
Bars: all except the choc/orange (don't do plain choc) + peanut (seems to have funny taste after 2 chews)
    Tetra: love both, especially frozen
Shakes: make all of them hot: banana, strawberry, f of the f, choc/mint, t + w, butterscotch (add husks to them - tho not choc).

At least I do get a variety, would hate to only like a couple of them as would be totally bored of the diet:(

My absolute favourite soup is the Oriental Chilli (don't know what I'll do without this when I have to stop CD) then the Vegetable and then the Chicken and Mushroom.

I find the tomato far too sweet (never liked heinz tomato either though) and the potato and leek far too salty. Haven't tried the cheese and broccoli as my CDC seems to have similar tastes to me and can't stand the smell.

My tastes have changed over time though on this diet and shakes that I loved at the beginning (chocolate and choolate orange) are way too sweet for me now. I used to love the Cappucino but now that they only do the lactose-free I can't stand it.

I tend to have my shakes hot and like Vanilla, Banana, Toffee and Walnut and Butterscotch. I've tried the berry ones and they are fine cold but maybe I'd find them nicer in hotter weather as I seem to suffer from the cold on CD (maybe coz some of my cushioning has gone now).

I quite like both tetras but don't bother with them as they're so small.

I like the Summer berry additive but tend to drink that hot too and I can't abide the savoury additive as it just takes like salt water to me.

I guess we're all different, heh?

Oriental chilli is my fave soup, but I also like chick & mush and spicy tomato. Leek & potato and cheese brocolli were Rank!

Like most of the shakes but toffee & walnut and the butterscotch are lush. Didn't like capuccino it's really sweet.

Only on week 2 so not allowed the bars yet.

    Thanks for that everyone!

I've just had the leek & potato and found that quite nice, so it's only the brocolli & cheese I've not liked so far, only day 3 so still others to try....haven't bought the mushroom or chicken & mushroom as I'm not keen on regular mushroom soup. All the shakes have been yummy especially choc mint, and will be looking forward to the bars in a few weeks!

I've been daring and got a toffee & walnut to try this week. Usual faves are C&M, Oriental and veg soups, choc and malt toffee bars and F of F and straw shakes. I do those with ice and water and they are yummy yum yum. Also tried caapucino this week and had some hot today which was really quite nice, not a big coffee drinker but was good for a change

My favourite is definitely the Oriental Chilli, but in general I love all the soups. I have always been more of a savoury than a sweet lover, and so I prefer the soups to the shakes. To me the shakes are just another drink, but the soups (I think it's the salt) are giving me back the will to live!

I'm on day 13 today, and it's the first time since starting CD that I have been hungry. I'm STARVING!! So, water water water..... will not cheat will not cheat will not cheat....

    Hi Dee
I love the soups too - infact I have Chilli thingy EVERY night and have done to start with - I like you find that its more meal like and as you quite rightly say the salt is delicious...... I have a shake split into 2 and make into a mocha coffee between 10 - 3pm then have my soup after 6pm and my bar after 8pm so I never go hungry! I'm on day 34 (I think??????) xxx
