Changes to SS+

Not sure why I didn't know this already - there's a new Cambridge Weight Plan booklet around, I think. I certainly hadn't heard that there were a couple of changes to SS+ foods.

So, for the benefit of anyone else who missed the memo :D:

Sole Source Plus Option B (3 Cambridge products per day plus one option from the following list and 80g of vegetables or salad - see that? 80g of vegetables or salad!!).

170g chicken or turkey breast (skinless)
180g tinned tuna (in water, not oil)
220g Quorn e.g. mince pieces
225g cottage cheese, plain, reduced fat (less than 2% fat)
230g cod, haddock or other white fish
185g pre-cooked prawns
250g steamed tofu
2 large eggs

Plus
80g of any cooked or raw vegetables or salad from the following list:
asparagus
broccoli
cabbage (even pickled)
cauliflower
celeriac
celery
Chinese leafy greens (including pak choi and Chinese cabbage)
courgette
cucumber
fennel
green peppers
green salad leaves (including lettuce, lamb's lettuce, radicchio, little gem, rocket and romaine)
kale
leeks
marrow
mushroom
red radishes
spinach
spring onions
watercress

You can add herbs and spices such as curry or chilli powder, coriander, pepper, chives and parsley.

Wasn't it 230g prawns before? Now only 185g. :(

But you can have slightly more quorn, apparently. 20g more.

Oh, and those of you on 810? You can also have 80g of veg.

the previous prawn weight was for raw prawns. food loses weight as you cook it due to evaporation. I suspect people were having 230g of cooked prawns because raw prawns are harder to find, or more of a faff...
