Argh I'm so tired!! So tired I just want to curl up and cry and not move. This bad patch isn't moving on at all :(

The dog is stressing me out as well, more than normal. But it's probably because I am so tired! We had a good break from her being destructive, but it's started up again. And now I've noticed she doesn't like patches/beams/flickering light and tries to attack it and gets so stressed that she's digging at the carpet or breaking things *sigh*
It doesn't help that I've been so tired and painful that I've not been able to walk them - and been in work too, which is just wiping me out at the moment. I feel so guilty about being a bad owner. I haven't even really been playing with them and I've done no new training with Pinta :(
I need to get myself together a bit and try and work out how to cope.

Another extra weekend went up yesterday at work. BUT it's the weekend I'm going out for Martin's birthday and if I do that weekend it would mean I'd be doing 5 in a row. I don't think so ..... But I do feel a bit guilty because one of the nurses has put her name down for one day, but the nurse who is already working that weekend can't stand her and she's been bullied by her in the past :( There is only me and Gemma who can do it tho, if another nurse doesn't step in. But if Gemma does it she'll be doing 4 in a row. Meh! Stupid work... I did have a good shift yesterday tho :)

Not all doom and gloom ;)

Picking Mum up later and we're going to do a big shop at Pets at Home and Asda. My list is mostly fruit and veg lol! Think I'll take Mum for coffee too in between :)
Not decided what type of food day I'm having yet. Aiming for EE, but not sure yet.xx

Oh I need to catch up with everyone!!

Hello Bladesforlife! Thank you for coming to say Hi :D It would be an absolute miracle for me to lose that weight, but it would be awesome!!! Realistically I haven't a clue what I could lose, but I do think I'd be over the moon if I could get back to 11st at least before I go away. Then I think I'd be around 7lbs lighter than when I first went to Tenerife. Would be interesting to compare photo's lol!

Patty I was a little naughty/snacky Sunday night and couldn't stop eating. But I don't think it was /too/ bad. Not as bad as the two bottles of wine I had over the weekend anyway. How many of your five a day is that?! ;)
Also, yeah gin is lovely! Very refreshing! Might be handy in the summer and on holiday :party0036:

Hey Barbette! I'm quite pleased with my sick record at this job (if you ignore the 8 months I had off!) In the past when I was really struggling with my depression and stuff I was shocking at work. Plus, I hated the jobs, so I'd pretend to be sick when I got in or just didn't go in anyway. Says a lot about this job though because I want to be there and I feel guilty as hell when I'm not! And in the past I wouldn't have cared :)
I think I'm just a Quorn wh*re really lol. I'm sure me and my Sister keep them in business. We should have shares ;)

Tetris dude! I hope I can carry on losing too. I mean that 1kg was great, double my plan of 1lb a week. But, frustratingly it was losing a silly gain lol! But, you never know! And I have lost weight since getting sick. I do think I need a head re-shuffle and need to learn to control my days off a little better, or more importantly, control the days after a day off!
I'm not feeling very enthusiastic at the moment. But I did get through two days at work where there are still tubs of cake, biscuit, and chocolates on the staff room table. It's so tempting to just pop one in my mouth while I'm in there. Especially when everyone else is just stuffing their faces lol. I had my fruit tho :) *smug*

Yeah I'm going to have a proper look round for Fitbits/Polars when I have the money. Not sure when my cashback will pay out tho. But I will be getting paid a lot of overtime over the next couple of months, so I might treat myself after that. Bit pointless having one at the moment because I can barely move. But I am still very very intrigued about what stats would come out while I'm working - esp the weekends!

I think that's everyone?? :D xx

First and foremost, don't do the extra weekend out of guilt. You've done your share and you've already got something planned which you might not be able to do, let alone enjoy, if you work as well.

It can be a pain being guilty about sick leave. Those who don't suffer from it have lots more leave than those who do. I'd hesitate to say that some of my colleagues pull a sickie, but I know that some of them don't come in when 'suffering' from what I'd consider to be a mild ailment! Drives me mad....

Ach - you're not a bad owner. You do what you can, when you can and make you make sure they're fed, watered and loved. OK, so Pinta is being a bit mental at the moment, but you don't know that she wouldn't be like that anyway. Odd about the flickering lights though; might that be why she attacked the Christmas lights?

Hope you can get some rest and the pain eases. You've got a couple of good SW days in and yes, plenty of Superfree!

Hey Patty!
If I was to do the extra weekend I wouldn't be able to go out for Martin's birthday. I'd finish too late and after a 10.5hr shift I can't do anything!! I'm just going to ignore that there's an extra weekend going. And my boss wont see me now for nearly two weeks, so hopefully it will be sorted by then lol!
I agree that people who don't have guilt stay off work more. It's the genuine people who drag themselves in dying ;)

When Pinta attacked the Christmas lights it was the plug in the socket on the other side of the room, not the lights themselves. Oddly she didn't bother with the actual lights. She's SUCH a weirdo!! Currently any bit of light in the living room is an issue :/ Even the light glinting off Dave, which could be a problem....
I think both dogs are a little bored and I can see it in their playing and chasing. But I think Pinta being a weirdo is just Pinta being a weirdo. I should make an effort to do even quick 5min training sessions a couple of times a day tho. Give her brain something to do!
I'm going to attempt a quick walk each today. The weather is lovely and I have some time before I get Mum. So will see how that goes. I am a bit wobbly and blurry today, but will give it a go :)

I've been resting a lot really. And I know I shouldn't get in to the habit of doing nothing on a bad day. But, when do I ever do nothing?! :p

Thanks for saying I've had some good SW days :D xx

Wednesday food - I think a green day....

Lunch: What me and my Sister call a Cowboy breakfast ;)
2 Sainsbury's veggie burgers (2) I don't know what sainsbury's have done to their burgers, but they are horrible!! Will be sticking to Asda now.
BBQ beans with red onion, mushrooms, red & yellow peppers, and piccolo tomatoes. A splash of Chipotle Tabasco
2 "fried" eggs with a swirl of Sriracha
Cheese (half HexB1)
Little drizzle of tomato sauce & mustard (0.5)

2 strawberries while putting shopping away. Been craving strawberries for weeks!!

Tea:
Quorn steak
Pasta N Sauce mac & cheese (2 + part HexA2)
Gherkins
Veg bag - carrots, peas, and sweetcorn
Beetroot
Cheese (rest of HexB1)
Drizzle of garlic dressing (0.5)

Snacks:
Chewy Delight (HexB2)
Mini Caramel Egg (3) & mini Creme Egg (2.5)

Drinks: Coffee. Coke Zero. Matcha shot made with water.
Caffe Caramella at Cost with soy milk and sugar free syrup (rest of HexA2 + 1 syn for the pathetic amount of sugary syrup on top)

Syns used: 10.5
Syns saved: 17.5

Exercise:
25mins/1mile walking with the dogs
Quite a long shopping trip.

Hey its ok xx just waiting for my tesco shop to come then beef curry for tea then off to beavers to join up as a helper lol xx
Weigh in tomorrow so hoping for good loss :)

Did your shop turn up on time?!

Very nice of you to volunteer at Beavers! My Mum always wanted to help at the Brownie group me and my Sister went to, but they wouldn't let her because she wasn't Catholic!! We didn't stay very long anyway, it was rubbish :p
I'd imagine groups like this have advanced immensely in 20 years tho.

I bought a new top today, even though I was supposed to be on a clothes ban until I lost weight. BUT it's so cool!! It's a 3/4 length tea with flowers and koi carp on. I love it! Plus it was only £12 ;)

I have spent a LOT of money today. £30 in Pets At Home - I needed to stock up and I was waiting until I had a voucher from them ;) And then a whopping £50 in Asda!! Holy sh*t!! But I know have a stocked cupboard, freezer, and fridge. Lots of fresh fruit and veg and tonnes of SW staples. Should only need to top up my fresh food the rest of the month now :)
This week's batch cooks will be Ratatouille and curry. With my extra weekends I need to stock up my freezer with portions of stuff for work lunches. Will make chilli next week I reckon.

Oh and I did manage to walk the dogs. Just a quick half mile walk each - just over 10mins - and I was very wobbly after. But I'm SO glad I did it.xx

I'm not surprised you're bush whacked, you are a really active person by anyone standards, you have a physical job and you're always on the go at home. I think you do really well and you shouldn't blame yourself for not doing the extra weekend and not for doing as many dog walks as you'd like I struggle sometimes and I don't have ME.

I know what you mean about going shopping and spending more than you think you're going to spend, I went for budgie food yesterday and came home with a hamster lol. Ian thinks I'm trying to turn the house into a zoo :D

Love the idea of you're cowboy breakfast, may try that next week when I'm back at work usually have a cooked breakfast before I go to bed. You are organised with your food too, I've been cooking today my plan is too make more teas than I need this week and to freeze some for when I'm back at work.

I like the sound of the T-shirt, where did you get it from?

How is the matcha tea going?

Hope you get some rest tonight and some sleep x x x

Hamsters are the animal I am most afraid of. Closely followed by ferrets!! So, good luck ;)
Hehe I knew I was going to do a big shop at both places, but not quite £50 worth of big shop at Asda. Eeeeek!! At least I'm set for a while eh? :)

I'm really pleased with myself for walking the dogs today. 10mins each is better than nowt :)

I wont be working that extra weekend. Definitely not. But erm, because I may be booked on to a course.... *whistles* I've emailed to check availability but it is a TTouch workshop, also with bits of coaching and force-free dog training. It's being held at Dogs Trust Manchester and run by the TTouch peeps. It sounds PERFECT for me! So I am crossing everything that there is a space available. I wont be taking Pinta, she's not ready for that, but you can go without a doggy :) It's £70 for the full weekend, 9:30-4 both days. And I know it will be tough, but I will be back in time to meet everyone for tea on M's birthday. I can't drink, unless I can grab a lift and then I can at least have a couple. But, eeeek, it's pretty exciting.
Details here if anyone wants to see: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/our-centres/merseyside/centre-updates/events/both-ends-of-the-lead

I love Cowboy breakfast! And just spotted a recipe in the new Asda magazine for Cowboy beans :D

I got my new top from M&S in their sale :) It's so unusual. Think it's from their Per Una collection.

I'm enjoying the Matcha tea. Some days it seems to make a huge difference. Some days not so much. The pooping has calmed down LOL! But my skin actually looks better. I've bought two more tins, which should last way over 2 months judging by the one I'm still using. Wanted to do a 3 month trial to really make my mind up. The health benefits are so impressive tho, they really are.

I hope I get a good sleep too. My dreams have been weird again (except the nice one where me and Patty went for lunch lol) and stuff keeps waking me up in the mornings - Mum, the dogs, postman, binmen, etc.... Very frustrating!! I am setting an alarm though and trying to regulate it a bit more. Guidelines for ME/CFS patients is roughly 10hrs sleep/in bed a "night". So on my days off, apart from my initial recovery day, I'm trying to stick with that and see if it helps.
I hope you get some sleep too mate. Rough times all round I think!!xx

Really nice pattern!
I swear it is impossible to not spend loads in Asda :| everything is so cheap and I am always like WHAT?! at checkout!

Why are you most scared of hamsters? I had 3 growing up and they were just cute fluff balls :p

I really did plan a big shop in Asda. Wanted like Pasta N Sauces and tins and stuff. Always do a big shop at Asda :D

I've had 5 hamsters. 1 Russian dwarf and 4 Syrian. They were bad enough. Then I worked at Petworld and it just made my fear of them worse and worse. I wont even handle them now. Scary, scary little animals! Especially when you're dealing with un-handled and sick ones. Makes them very, very bitey!

Love the t-shirt print :Do I've not done any pepper clothes shopping, I may do for summer haven't got anything that fits me lol.

The dog training course sounds good, I did one with Tia when she was a puppy, we had great fun even though she was more interested in the other puppies. I our's at my pet stop before it closed down it was a kennel club one.

When I was a kid I had loads of gerbils but never a hamster, beth had had a few hamsters and I think they are really cute :) Bob was out playing last night and seems like a cheeky chappie, I'll give him another couple of days to settle in before I introduce myself properly. The only animal I have a real fear of is dogs :/

Hope you're having a good day x x x

This course isn't for Pinta, she couldn't cope in a situation like that. It's for me as a handler and animal "professional". I wouldn't want to put her in that situation, plus it'd be £80 if I wanted to take her and I wouldn't want to risk that kind of money and have to leave. So I'll be going alone - and 'only' spending £70!
I am starting her actual training classes, hopefully next week, which is a bit scary considering how bad she is. But I do think they will help and we'll be able to help with some of her issues. I'm a big believer in training classes, obv with me being so interested in behaviour. I think it's really important to do a proper training course with a dog, no matter what age. I could also go on about this forever, but I wont.

Gerbils are awesome! I miss having gerbils. I think with my experience with animals I generally have to deal with them when they're unhandled, unsocialised, scared, in pain, sick, etc so I see them at their worst. Which is why I have issues with cats at work. Cats at home = lovely. Cats in a veterinary hospital = angry little tigers. It's the same for all animals. And I've had too many injuries and near misses to not be scared of them in some situations.
But I will never again own hamsters or ferrets. Never ever!

At least you have Sam though Barbette, who seems lovely :D xx
