Cheesey Chips

Ingredients

Large Baking Potatoes
Chilli Powder
Cheese (Syn free if used as a Healthy Extra B)
Fry Light

Method

  • Peel your potatoes and cut into either chip shapes or wedges depending on your preference
  • Spray a baking tray sparingly with fry light and place all of the chips/wedges onto the try, arrange until all level and spray the potatoes with fry light too.
  • Sprinkle the potato chips/wedges with chilli powder; add according to your own taste. (There should be an indication of how spicy it will be on the packaging).
  • Put in the oven on Gas 6 for around 40 minutes, but check regularly as cooking time may vary depending on how thick the chips/wedges are!
  • They will go a golden-brown colour, when very nearly done (with around 5 minutes or less to go) sprinkle evenly with cheese, not much cheese is needed as it melts and goes further.
  • Leave for a further few minutes to allow cheese to melt to your satisfaction :)
