Coffee Substitue ???

    HI Guys,

    I am on day 6 of SS, and I think I'm doing OK, although still feel hungry.:(

    I’m aware of the general rules around what you can and cannot drink, i.e. black tea (leaf tea), and coffee, obviously water, no cordials etc, but I do not drink tea or coffee.:sigh:

    I do however drink herb tea (which I know must not be fruit or flower based) mainly peppermint and fennel, and what you might call a coffee substitute called "Caro" made my Nestle, or "Barleycup", they; look like, are made like, and taste a bit like coffee but are a blend of Barley, Malted Barley, Chicory and Rye.

    My question though is can I drink it on CD? I haven’t so far but miss it. :(

    Any advice would be appreciated. :D

    Peppermint tea is a leaf tea so you can have that. Didn't think you were allowed fennel as it is made from seeds is it not?

    Is it that u cant drink tea and coffee or dont? Cuz boaters do the flavoured coffees which i quite like, i no its still coffee, but u may like them. x x

    The berry water flavouring with hot water is lovely too.

    Hi Beverley,

    When made up with 150 mls of water contains:

    Energy 11kcal, Protein 0.2g, Carbohydrate 2.5g, Fat Nil.

    is this still a No, No ???? :(
