Sorry, I wasn't going to ask but here goes..

My movements have changed dramatically, as I expected, due to the reduced quantity of food. Its actually been quite welcomed, as my cr*ppy diet before had me running to the loo at least 3-4 times a day. However, now it has changed to once every 4 days or so, except today is day 5 and no sign.

i have no discomfort but wonder if there is anything I could use to help that wont affect ketosis at all. I am trying to keep my water up to the 4l but should I drink more?

I've not been going either - been about 5 days for me too and I've well been drinking over my 4L. My LLC said that you can take dulcolax if you need it (you can get them in Asda, boots etc) - I bought some and haven't took any yet but think I will do tonight.

I have always had a problem in that department and being on LL made it worse. It didn't matter how much I drank, sometimes 7 litres, nothing worked. I ended up taking 2 dulcolax once a week and still do, that helps but wanted to try and keep away from medication but had to in the end, was getting very uncomforatble xx

I found dulcolax worked for me.

If it becomes a problem for you, look into phsyllium husks (sp?) there are a few threads on this site about them, they help to keep you regular rather than allowing yourself to get constipated. I didn't like them personally but lots of people swear by them.

Russiandoll (If I remember correctly) is the resident expert!

A lot of people on here also swear by pysillium husks, either in tablet form, or powder which you can add to your shakes. This is something you take every day to keep you regular, rather than waiting till there's a problem and taking dulco-lax etc. You can buy it in holland and barrett, but it's probably cheaper online. I'm sure someone who knows more will pop by with more info

Thank you everyone. All ok today, after a 6 day wait, so to speak. Off to Holland & Barrett tomo to buy the husks so it doesnt happen again!

The other thing you could try is the lighterlife water flavourings as they have inulin in them which is a fibre, also the bars seem to have an 'affect' on some people...

glad you got sorted tho, be warned tho if you do take a ducolax only take the one as they can be quite 'powerful' :eek:

1 Dulcolax doesn't work for me :( even after 24hrs.
But 2 give me the trots!
Will have to try and bite one in half this week!
I dont go all week and the only way I can is if I take laxatives :(
I don't really wanna get back into that though after spending a few years abusing them when I was bullimic :(
Ok prob TMI (too much information) here but... since day one I have taken 1 and a half tablespoons of psyillium (sp) husks in water every day and i go poo poo's every day and its normal as well!!!!

can't believe i just wrote that but hey ho!!!
