Couch to 5 kilometres (C25K) Challenge!

Did W2D2 yday, I'm gettin into this :) Bring on W2D3 2mo!
 
just done W5 but i think i ve done it wrong! i done the 8 min run with 5 min walk then another 8 min run.OH downloaded it for me but do i have to do the 3 different runs that week?if so D3 is a20 min run?is this right?seems a big jump from 8 mins to 20 lol ! although i dreaded 8 mins and managed it well.or do i have to choose which program to follow i.e run 1,2 or 3.bit confused lol !!!

Well it is now a week since we ran... I have been doing exercise but my friend hasnt been at all.. I hope she comes back.. she hasn't been well ... I will give her till Wed and if not I might carry on without her.. may redo a day or 2 of week 3.. will just see how I do :D xx

No you follow exactly what it says day to day. You were right doing 8 then 5 then 8 and yes its a 20min run next. Seems daunting but just take it very slowly - you can definitely do it xx

Dun me W2D3.. Ad a sneaky look ahead, n bit worried bout ma nxt run, seems a bit of a jump up... But will try anyway...

Carly is right. You can do it. I did it. I used to look ahead and think "no way I can do that" but I'm on week 8 now ;)

Just got the app :) going to do day one today! Even though it's freezing!!! Do you think it would be ok to do a combination of outdoor/treadmill as sometimes i will be outdoor and sometimes treadmill when I join the gym! X

Yeah, Laura sometimes does treadmill and sometimes does outdoor. I've always done outdoor myself... Some say its a bit easier on the treadmill. I ran my first 5k the other day so can vouch for this plan if you stick with it :) x

Just did day one on my road, it was easy enough so pleased i finally got off my lazy ass an done it! On way back the wind was so strong and cold! Day two will be done on Tuesday :)

Haven't updated in ages, I've completed my programme and have been able to run my 5k in around 35 - 30mins. Now I just need to practice. Thinking of giving zumba a rest for next 2 weeks and training every other day as the 5k fun run is coming up in 2 weeks eeeekkkkk

Which training was that Laura? The OT one? Was it much different to C25k?? x
 
yip its different from the c25k, I found it easier but I skipped the first 3 weeks because I had already done a load of C25k ones. Really annoyed now though, can't do any running as this bloody cold has gone into my chest and looking all over the net it says not to run with a bad chest as it'll get worse, so can only hope it goes away soon or all my hard work will go to loss and I won't be able to run the whole 5k :-(
 
Ah hon you _definitely_ shouldn't run with a bad chest. Don't worry, you've been going great and you will be able to do the 5k. Rest up now rather than making it worse and next week you can train up, bet you'll be fine doing it :) x

Well done to Laura who's our first person to complete her training and do her 5k :D xxx inspiring stuff I think we'll all agree!
I did my first 5k on saturday but haven't finished c25k yet so keeping going with that to the end now. Less than 2 weeks to the operation transformation 5k fun run ;)
