Sorry to disappoint you, but i was just wondering how people are coping that are doing LT with their partners... I noticed on a few posts that couples are doing it together and i wanted to know if it was working out ok?

I want to re-start asap because i am really getting concerned about my weight gain, but Joe is starting on Monday and i was worried about both of us finding it hard until ketosis kicks in, and i don't want to upset us or the kids for the sake of me starting a week or 2 after him... Can any of you please give me an HONEST insight into how it's been so far, cos i am desperate to start getting a grip!!

How much has Joe got to lose Su? And why are you letting him start first? Surely it's 'ladies first'?!

He wants to lose about 5 stone, but i think he has too big a frame for that, but because of some of the medication he has been on, the majority of his weight gain is on his belly rather than all over which makes it more noticeable in his eyes....

We actually started together in September, but he gave up after a few days, but now he has seen me lose a bit (not so much now though, eh??!! lol) he knows it works and he has really psyched himself up to start on Monday..... I imagine i will need to lose about 3 stone and i am hoping to stop before him and go onto WW for maybe the last stone. That should re-train my brain regarding healthy eating/portion control so that i can help him when he finishes LT.....

It would normally be ladies first, but he is desperate, and to be fair, i have had a go...... I can start when he does (I have 5 weeks of shakes ready to start) but i am a bit concerned cos i know i can be a stroppy biatch and although he doesn't snap back or antagonise me i don't know how he will feel when he is starting out on LT and i don't want to make it any harder for him as he was really supportive when i started out. x x x

Im fine babes I think Ive put a few pounds on but nothing too drastic, Im going to weigh in next week and start LT again for 10 weeks. My Brother and his wife are having a big party for their 25th Anniversary so im going to try my best to get down to below 25 BMI, so may change my goal. Ive missed you all but Ive been reading up on you so I know what you been up to lol xxxx

I would just start it together Su, because you'll both have each other to support each other. That's what I would do.

And seeing as you've got 5 weeks worth, you're not going to be spending anything, so you can save up a bit for your shakes for after this time frame.

If you're desperate to start, then go for it :) xxx

I'm like you, a snappy beatch while doing LT, but OH and I started together on Monday.... And yes we have had some moments lol we made an agreement to walk into another room and just drop anything that peed us off, and we have done that, but still had some moments but we are still ok lol

You have a few options really, you could just have an agreement and then just bite the bullet and both of u start TFR or one of you could start TFR and one of you could part do it, ie 2 shakes and 1 meal (like day 1 refeed) I still lost weight doing day 1 refeed and it might make ketosis easier. Just an idea...

My hubby and I are doing it as well ;-) and so far he has lost over 4kg and I managed to shift 1.4kg so I'm jealous of how much he's managed to lose so far :)
