Cous Cous Cake.... isnt that now sins?

there has been big debates about it in the past and yes when using cous cous as flour it should be synned as per your syns guidelines.

However for the cous cous cake you are cooking the cous cous pretty much the same as you would if you were having it as a savoury dish.

So a lot of us believe that as long as we are eating it within moderation and are still losing weight then we are not counting it as syns.

I second what Britmum says. Plus if you have a cake craving, what's better to have? Slice of virtually fat free cous cous cake that tastes like cake and smells like cake but ISN'T cake... or a big fat wodge of real cake laden with diet wagon crashing calories.

Cous cous cake is really nice and filling too. CCC FTW!

To make it extra healthy I add 2 grated carrots and use vanilla Mullerlight to the couscous /1 egg/ teaspoon baking powder and then miss out the sweetener as it is sweet enough, especially if you add more Mullerlight over the top before eating. It really does stop those cake cravings.
