Hiya,

Im back from visiting family today, so as of tomorrow i shall be starting to cut down my cal intake. How far should i take this? I have appt on 17th Jan. Will be starting on the 18th. ATM my intake is really high (according to BMR thingy its about 2900 a day!!) What im thinking is to try and cut it down to about 1200 for the week before restart. That way my 1st week hopefully wont be as bad. Is this a good idea or not? Input gratefully recieved.

Hi honey, its not so much the calories you need to cut back on, to make it easier when you start its best to gradually reduce the amount of carbs in your diet x x

Yep, cut the cals, cut the carbs. I think it's a fab idea, and one I know come the next few days I'll wish I'd done the same thing (I did consider it! lol). It's got to make it easier on the body. Maybe start increasing your water intake gradually as well, to avoid that back and forth to the loo thing every 10 mins that most of us go through initially lol.

Good luck xx

I remember the constant peeing from my 1st attempt. Thing is for me it never slowed down at all, lasted the whole time. All the running back and forth is extra exercise though :D
