Day 1 tomorrow

Morning all,

How is everyone getting on? My goodness this board is quiet at the moment! where is everyone? Hopefully youre all out buying skinny clothes and being good!

5:2 started yesterday with a fast day. Although its 4:3 this week because i want to try and correct the weekends madness. I'm not weighing in until Saturday morning.

Yesterday was a fast day. I had egg white salad, CD oriental soup with zero noodles and then a CD bar. Today i have loads!!! 1500 cals get a lot of food! its all good choices, i'm just having full egg's rather than egg whites only, and mayo rather than balsamic to try and beef up the cals.

Chris is over for dinner tonight and he's cooking fajitas for me and i've made a cheesecake for dessert....390 cals per serving....and ive put it all into MFP and i'm still within my 1500.

I've given up sweets and chocolates until 22nd October which is when Freya and i go on holiday. Hopefully this will control the need to binge. I've also had no laxatives since sunday evening. Not ideal, not really very long, but its a baby step in the right direction.

well done Liz sounds like you have the day planned out really well and its making me feel hungry!!!
managed to get out of bed at 4.30 this morning and trains run to time and got across London to catch my train to Southampton today only got a 1 hour meeting there but the train gets me home earlier rather than flying because of the flight times so today is a long day!!!
did manage to get a coffee and water to have my lemon bar with and got my bars with me to keep me on track and will get some prawns and salad hopefully for tonight or chicken is in the fridge so thats me done for the day no gym tonight so can hopefully get an early night as same time train tomorrow- should have stayed over in london but at least I see this kids this way

yes its gone really quiet at the moment on here but I am sure that will all change

Morning ladies.

Sounds like you both have your days well planned. I just waved hubby off to the airport for his work trip to Japan. So it is going to be quiet in the flat for a while. Though I am off to see my parents this weekend!

I had a good day yesterday, though I needed it to be. My head was getting garbled again and I need to be staying on top of things. I have my spin class booked for tonight and my diving lesson tomorrow. Then physio on Thursday morning (my knee only hurts when I run and then only downhill. Think I lose my form!), going to see the play that goes wrong in the afternoon and jumping into my first class train to head home. Then who knows! Back on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to seeing them!

Just got to be good (not so difficult at my parents) and stay good!

Hello all,

Sorry I've been missing - had a hectic weekend my dad was taken poorly on Saturday (he went unconscious) so had to call an ambulance and then was up a&e till 4.30am Sunday morning. I was tired, emotional and starving -- didn't think I would get through the day but I did with the help of plenty of water.
Another day spent at hospital yesterday but all is now good and he is home.
I'm 3lbs down on the scales already this week - would really like another 1lb off by weigh in on wed morning as I will have then lost 5st since May!! I'm starting to feel completely different now which is helping motivate me with getting to goal!!

Sounds like a busy day Sam!! Hope the new plan works for you lizz.

Hi Tiggs how long is hubby away for ? nice in some ways to have time to yourself but I guess it depends how frequently he travels
So you have your week planned out well too and i think thats the key to success with losing weight just planning for different eventualities
enjoy the first class train!! i normally slum it with work it is so nice to have a bit of a treat
have a good day and enjoy the spinning - when i am down to the 12s i think i will try spinning again its such a hard workout!!! if i am able may go swimming tonight with dd as my aim is to do 400m in a decent time (my kids do it in about 5 -6mins but i think i will be nearer 20 right now and then when i can do that i can think about the sprint triathlon - i tried treadmill after cycle last night and my legs felt like jelly so its a work in progress but getting fitter all the time!

sorry to hear about your dad its worrying isnt it? my dad isnt doing well at the moment with cancer and its like a horrible knot in the pit of my stomach worrying when they are in hospital so hope he soon recovers

well done on the losses though fabulous bet you feel great

Sam, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful with the exercise hun! I know your head is in the zone etc, but you WILL end up "doing a lizz" if youre not careful. I was literally unable to move for 2 weeks until i stopped the exercise and ate more calories. I still have to be careful when i've done too much exercise on the 1000 plan!

I hear you Lizz and usually only burn around 250 cals in a workout and doing step2 and always have some food before and after workout i really dont want to damage myself!!! thanks though i dont think my slow 400m swim will count for much tonight if i can be bothered (will have been sat on my bum for 9 hours on the train!!)

Even at step 2 that reduction in cals is too much hun. the most you should be doing is gentle yoga/swimming. The lower plans are scientifically produced with the recommendation that you dont burn too many cals through exercise. If you want the exercise, you need Step 3 or beyond.
30 min of pilates is 90 cals and that was more than enough for me and it still pushed me over the edge....

really? so maybe i need to rethink the exercise or just gentle walking till i get to goal

Sam, Lizz is right. Take it easy with the exercise. But if you feel good and aren't dizzy or shaky and you don't feel very sore or take a long time to recover you're probably doing just the right amount. Listen to your body. If you do feel any of those things either scale back the exercise or up the step! If you want to ramp up the exercise you definitely need to go up the step.

I am about to embark on the 30 day shred. I have my before pic. I will have to post one here and one separately as the app keeps crashing when I try to do more than one. Here goes

Hi Tiggs well I think you look great already but will be interested to hear how you go on and the results and also i couldnt see the mess compared to my house!!!!

yesterday was 100% step 2 with my meeting in southampton - no exercise done unless you count running across london between waterloo amd kings cross and walking up and down the escalators on the tube as i nearly missed my train coming back!!! was worn out last night and asleep by 10 and up again at 4.30 this morning.

only a meeting in london today mid morning so hopefully will be back home by 5 all being well and may just walk tonight

getting up early is playing havoc with my body clock and digestive system as my body likes t come round slowly and programmed to go for a poo at 8-9 so I am feeling bloated today so something has got to give as i have same early start tomorrow

felt as if I was doing the night shift walking to train station at home this morning as it was a really crisp dry night starry sky and full moon - really pretty but didnt feel I should have been off to work then!! having said that there are others in the same predicament when i got to the station

have a couple of hours before the rest of you wake up and start posting!!!

Sounds like my idea of hell being out of the house that early! I am not good in the mornings. Hope the meetings etc went/are going well.

I am zumba and diving tonight. I do like getting my wiggle on but less keen on the wetsuit. Then tomorrow. It's the physio at 8 followed by dropping my case at Kings cross before seeing a west end show and possibly a trip to the pictures if I have time before my 8pm train to newcastle for the weekend! A day to myself and I've filled it with doing stuff at least it's a type of relaxing! Xxx

Was weigh in day for me and 4lbs lost (along with lots of inches inc 3 off my waist) which means I did hit the 5st mark today and I feel fab!

I'm not a morning person either - so really feel for you Sam!
Tigg sounds like a busy day you've got planned tomorrow, along with tonight!!
Good luck with ur shred can't wait to see the results.

hey tinks thats a great loss what a milestone 5 stone wow fabulous and the inch loss is fab too

hopefully i can get out of bed for last early start tomorrow at 4.30 lol i usually struggle with 7 am getting out of bed as i am not a morning person

doing well today as had my lemon bar and a couple of coffees but now getting the odd mint or herbal tea which is a nice change

anyway getting home an hour earlier is bonus so will be feet up tonight !!!
 
well i felt starving tonight and very nearly weakened but instead was grumpy for a couple of hours and then had my last bar!!!
think i am just tired and stressed with work will be glad when this week is over! had a lovely veggie omelette at lunchtime so that was my step 2 meal and i really enjoyed it but it meant i didnt have meal to look forward to!!
anyway I managed and pleased I did

no exercise today as done plenty of walking anyway and i am going to take it easy if i have had an active day (i should have had my pedometer on but have lost it!!)

watched bake off in real time rather than after so that was a nice end to the evening
