Day 2 blues

Hey everyone I'm Rachel :). Slowly approaching the end of day two but I'm finding it so hard but I still know I 100% don't want to give in!!

The main thing I'm finding hard is having no life! Before this I was out 3 times a week (at least) and now I wish I could speed the clocks up so I could sleep! I have decided not to tell any of my friends about this or they would just nag at me to come out with the "one drink wont kill you" line... but we all know it's not possible :sigh:. Any advice on avoiding boredom would be greatly appreciated, anything to get my mind of food!! :D.
Thanks lovelys x

Hi Rachel, I am on day 3 and have also found it hard today. I know what you mean about the social thing, I intend to do this for 4 weeks then a week of refeed before my holidays so that is keeping me focused and motivated. I am putting my social life on hold till then as I just cant do both. Am planning on the cinema at the weekend and also being on here really helps, I have been taking a long hot bath in the evening aswell to keep warm (ive felt so cold) and pass the time. Early nights aswell, its great getting into bed thinking another day done and dusted!! We can do it !!

Hey Cezza, thanks for the reply :). Really helps having someone in the same boat! I'm actually going London on the 16th of July so I too am planning to start re-feeding the week before I go as there's NO way I can not eat/drink while going (the whole reasoning behind the trip is to celebrate finishing my A levels) Maybe we could support each other as we're pretty much doing the same same thing...:D

I'm going to watch a film in bed (with lots of skinny people in it for inspiration!!) Thanks for the advice and let me know how tomorrow goes for you, good luck ;)

Hi, I go on hold on the 17th so we in exactly the same boat!! I'm just having my last shake now, I could easily go without it but know it's not healthy to. Haven't felt as hungry this evening could have eaten my arm this afternoon!! Got an awfull taste in my mouth so maybe it's the ketosis that everyone talks about kicking in. Least we only have 4 weeks of total to get through before refeed and we will soon be a week in. Thin thoughts!!

After a few days or in my case a week or 2 the cold does go. The hunger also reduces. At first I avoided social events but as I started a new job and had a few celebrations I went along but did not eat and drank water, it was incredibly hard at first however now it does not bother me and i see my bad habits in other people. This is great as it is helping me to break my overeating once and for all.

As I have been on it for a while food and cravings don't really bother me and do not control my thoughts.

Well done you two!!! I found the first few days the hardest, keep thinking positively and im sure you will get there.

hey hun welcome!!!

i know what you mean about boredom, im the same, avoiding social situations as 9 times out of 10 they involve food plus i have also not told my friends as last time i tried this diet they were negative and it put me off but this time im determined to succeed!! :p

however ive realised now that for the time being this is my new life so i have to fit socialising around it. i now suggest walks (we have big parks near me), the cinema or window shopping!! ;) and if they want to go out for tea i decline that night out.

ive also found other stuff to do at home when im bored, i now have a really clean and tidy room :D and i pamper myself, which is very nice and makes me feel relaxed.

the thing is i know this is just temporary, a few months out of your life and once you where you want to be it will be even better for you!!! :D

i hope this helps, stay strong hun.

xox

Wow it's amazing how great you feel the next morning, I don't feel hungry at all :). I usually eat more in the evening though so maybe that's why I feel so hungry come 9pm...

Thank you everyone for your replys, it's really encouraging, especially when none of my friends know what I'm up to!
I find brushing my teeth really helps as it stops me thinking about food, so I will end up slim with the whitest teeth ever too .

1 quick question, sugar free gum yay or nay?? x

nay it stimulates the acid or something in the tummy as the movement makes the body think it needs to break down food which will make you hungry!! i think thats it anyway!! ;)
