DAY 4 - I'm in hell!

Hi guys,

just need to sound off a bit today, I'm on day 4, its by far the worst day so far. I feel like eating everything in sight, and today thats a lot. We are having a little tea party for our nephews birthday. Being I'm a sugarholic, the sweets, chocolate, crisps and cakes on the buffet table are driving me insane. I keep thinking it won't hurt just to have one bite, but not caved in so far, and I'm not going to either. I have done this once before for 3 weeks but did cheat with the odd piece of chicken here and there (still managed to lose 1.9st), this time though its got to be 100%.

I was really tired and down earlier but had a cup of black tea with tablet sweetners and the caffine seems to have the desired effect, I've picked up a bit now. I can't wait for the energy burst to start and last time that was on the 5th day, so hoping tomorrow will be that day for me, especially due to the fact I'm back in work then!

The mere thought right now that I can not eat, or socialise properley for 5-6 weeks seems unbearable, but I hope work will actually help me keep my mind occupied. I have planned this since the New Year and took Thurs/Fri off work because I knew how irritable and tired I would be.:sigh:

I hope to lose 2-3 stone in 5-6 weeks but this time make sure I re-feed properley on Protien foods rather than Carbs. I aim to eat just meat/Poultry for the first week at dinner time, but thats then, I gotta get there first.

In all honesty I feel much better having reminded myself of the issues and glad to have gotten that off my chest, just looked through a few old photos as well, now theres some motivation!

Hi Pete, just before my 3rd weigh in I had to take my son to a friend's birthday party. It was absolute torture. There were hot dogs and loads of the usual kids' party food and I could have just demolished the lot. I didn't of course, just sipped a black coffee. I'm about to have my week 7 weigh in tomorrow and the time has gone so quickly. I know, as do you as you've done this before, that looking ahead seems like a long stretch but looking back seems like no time at all. When I started I really wanted to make it through February to give my weight loss a kick start but had no real thoughts of continuing after that as I didn't really believe I'd be able to stick to it. Now, I really can't believe I've been doing this for seven weeks and I've now got no intention of stopping until I reach goal or I feel that I've lost enough. It's gone so quickly. So come on, 5-6 weeks is nothing, 5-6 weeks out of your WHOLE life for a result that will have such a positive impact on your life and you can so do this. Stay positive.

Hi Pete, for me week one was living hell on earth! All I wanted to do was eat and I was so bl**dy starving! It will get better after week 1 although I have started week 12 and I am STILL hungry! I'm so pleased with the weight loss so far and I'm almost ready to start refeeding. Stay strong, come on here if you need to rant or support and just try and take your mind off food by going for a walk, read a book, take a nice hot and long bath. Good luck and you will be fine! :) x

Ah I feel for you. Tough days are hard to get through. The first week can be a tough old battle. Just focus on your first weigh in!!! How good it will feel to see that great first result. The buzz is immense!!!!

Thanks everyone, I had a black tea with a tablet sweetner in and started to pick again after that. I even cleared away all the uneaten food (mainly to get it out of my sight), I never cheated and this morning (start of day 5) I feel great for it.

Cate, your right, I will look back in a few weeks and hopefully think "where has the time gone?". I am due to go on an Easter weekend away with the family on 22nd April, originally planned to finish and refeed for then. I know however, that I won't have reached my target by then, so I'm planning on trying to get through that with as little cheat or small refeed stage and then continue 100% after that, but we'll see (one day at a time). I've got through the hardest bit now so, thanks for all your support...Good luck!

Bit late to this but glad you got through it ok - we all have days like this (see my others posts! LOL)... One day is just that, today is all new.. bring on the challenge eh :)
