Day 51

Thanks to a great diet and the people and posts online I've made it to over the half way mark!

Well I've made it over the half way mark of foundation and am still going strong (development will be another stage). It's strange how doing this seems natural now though it's only really been a short time when you think about it. I remember the day before I started after picking up my packs being all excited yet being scared that this would just be another diet that I'd fail at or even worse that I'd do it 100% and it just wouldn't work for me!

But work is the one thing that this diet really does do, I can't believe that I have lost so much in such a short time and not had to go through something horrific or drastic such as surgery - and believe me I'd considered having that done.

Hey Cath,
:wow::clap: on you losses and getting through the half way mark. I am approaching day 70 now and never thought any diet could work for me like this one has- now I am getting a bit worried about ever coming off it.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it- if only we had known about VLCDs before!

Keep going girl and look forward to meeting your target- won't be long now!

Well done, I am on week 10 now myself and could never have got this far on any other diet. Trust me I tried them all!!

I do struggle at times, just posted another thread about hosting a bbq today, in fact. Had to jump on here to strengthen my resolve....

Still, 51lbs down, heaven knows how many more to go...... Better grit those teeth now!!

Oh, and I so empathise with the surgery thing, thats the way I was heading too!

Well done Cath,
tomorrow I reach the half way mark also. (7 wks)
I never in my wildest dreams imagined I could get this far, but I've done it, just like you.
Yes I was also at the end of the road when I started this diet.
I suffered depression because of my weight, I didn't like socialising, I became a recluse, I was in pain because my body couldn't take the weight any more, I hated myself.
Yes I tried every diet there is, I even lost weight, but then put it all back on & more.
The next stage for me was a gastric band, because I felt so bad about myself, I didn't want to live anymore as a fat person.
But thank God I found Lighter Life, it has been my saviour.
I haven't felt this good about myself for a long time & I haven't been this weight for 5 years.

I have only praise for this diet & I hope I find the strength to carry on another 7 weeks & that I can complete the maintenence phase.
I promise myself that I will never be fat again.

Good luck with the next 7 weeks Cath.
