Dee's Diary Saying goodbye to my chub in hope of conceiving baby 1!

Hi All,

Finally decided to start a diary to keep me on track and share my journey.

I joined Slimming World mid Feb 2012, after trying to conceive for 2 years and suffering 3 miscarriages. At the turn of the year, I stopped denying that my weight was my responsibility and made a vow to look after my weight. Myself and DH knew that to have treatment from the doctor to aid us in TTC that my BMI would need to go down to around 25 ideally.

I quit smoking, cut down on drinking hugely and walked though the doors of my local Slimming World group.

So, here I will be writing food diaries, moaning, ranting and celebrating (hopefully)!

Please follow me on my journey, and if you can offer any advice - Please do!!!

My progress so far:
Start Weight: 12st 13.5lb
Week 1: +1lb 13st 0.5lb
Week 2: -3lb 12st 11.5lb
Week 3: Hol (All Inclusive in Portugal... :eek:)
Week 4: Hol (All Inclusive in Portugal... :eek:)
Week 5: -3lb 12st 8.5lb
Week 6: -2lb 12st 6.5lb - Half Stone Award :bliss:
 
Yesterdays Food Diary:

I was off work due to illness so a bit different to as normal working Wednesday!

Breakfast: 2 x bananas, 2 slices of wholemeal bread (hexb) and baked beans
Lunch: Peanut butter sandwich (10.5 syns) & a banana
Dinner: Pork Shoulder steak (fat removed), Asparagus, Steamed veg and SW Chips.
Snacks: Monster Munch (5.5 syns)
Drinks: Water, low cal squash

Total syns: 16 syns :eek:

:sigh: I did have my 2st :sigh: but will get back there again. Life is full of ups and down :)

Todays food diary:

Still of work unwell so not as planned as i would liked to be!

Breakfast was 2 x bananas as i wasn't very hungry

Lunch was beans on 2 slices wholemeal toast (hexb)

Dinner was pork (all fat removed), mashed potato (milk from hexa used) with mixed veg and aspargus

Snacks - 2 packs of Monster Munch (11 syns)

Afternoon all,

Still off work ill :( and not been able to get out to the shops as DH is away (but back late tonight :heartpump:) so I have had to make do with what is in the house...

Breakfast: 2 slices of wholemeal bread (Hexb) and a banana

Lunch: Homemade tomato soup (made with tinned tomatoes, baked beans, carrots and quark... tastes better than it sounds!)

Dinner: Pork (fat removed), mixed veg and cous cous.

Snacks: 3 x pears, 1 x slice of white bread and peanut butter (7.5 syns)

Drinks: Squash and Water

Total Syns: 7.5


I am starting back on the exercise front as well - and done 30 mins cardio on the Fitness Channel :character00115:

Hi dee just started reading your diary... and wanted to say well done, quitting smoking, boozing and starting a diet all in one go is fantastic! really sorry for all youve gone through in the past but your doing the right thing and Im sure in time you'll be rewarded for your hard work... keep at it it'll be worth it.
